Since the draft, I have seen many threads suggesting that with Ginn we would be able to spread open the offense and have Chambers, Hagan, Booker, Ginn and Brown & Booker and our FB (from the backfield) available for passes.

Although, it's great to have this extra speed on offense, I believe, the ofensive key is how our newly re-arranged offensive line will protect the QB to find these open recievers. It will not matter how fast Ginn and Booker are if the QB is on the run or worse being hit after each pass. The success of the running game will also determine our passing success, especially for play action passes. All of this comes down to the offensive line.

I agree, our OL has gotten better this off season, but it all depends on the QB that is behind that line too. Lets hope we get a healthy cpep this year.

I like the Vernon Carey move to LT decision... He was by far our best o-lineman last year... We drafted Samson Satele, he will start either at C or LG... Hadnot is improving every year, now if only Joe Toledo could be healthy on time... Our o-line will do a lot better than what people think... Our RT spot will either be Anthony Alabi or L.J.Shelton... They both have a lot to prove, so that's a bit of an area of concern... We'll see what happens...

here here or hear hear,,, i think all the positions are set as far as the playmakers,,i love the position specific talents of chambers, ginn, hagan, brown lo book and daunte,,,,were gonna be a nasty team this year that no one expects to do anything,,if daunte is healthy which i believe he will be we will compete with new england for the top spot.

how has our oline gotten better? our best olineman, vernon carey, has been moved away from the RT, where he himself admits he is much more comfortable. we didnt bring back our best LT (he's playing with the Chiefs). our starting RT figures to be either a guy who was cut by both Arizona and Cleveland and benched by us or a guy who has never played in an NFL game before. Our left guard looks to be a rookie. our right guard looks to be either a journeyman or a converted tight end who has never played a down in the NFL. That's what you call an improved offensive line? you people are delusional.

For those of you keeping count, from left to right, that would be:
Vernon Carey (LT), Samson Satele (LG, Rookie), Rex Hadnot (C), Chris Liwienski/Joe Toledo (RG), LJ Shelton/Anthony Alabi (RT)

I agree that it all starts with the OLine. I just don't think ours is very good. I actually think it will be historically bad unless Carey adjusts VERY well to the LT spot (correct me if I'm wrong but, didn't he fail miserably there his rookie year?) AND Satele is incredible right out of the gate (I actually have a good feeling about this guy, liked the pick).

Overall I feel the Dolphins offense will reach its full potential when all the positions are set and can play together for at least one year.:ninja:especially the offensive line and the quarterback.

You're actually going to miss D-Mac?? He sucks!! LOL!!

Agreed. Our offense will only go as far as our OFFENSIVE line takes us. But dumb penalties will also have to be down as we made some pretty dumb penalties last year with shift changes, false starts, etc......

:sidelol: Hope springs eternal don't it?

The O-line always determines the success of a team...

thats like saying "I HAVE FINNALY DETERMINED THAT WITHOUT AN ENGINE MY CAR WONT RUN!"

This will be a very hard season. Our team will be competitive but will struggle at worst moments because of O-line issues and lack of depth in almost every position in the field.

I am definitely getting myself a VIP membership. I am so tired of this negative crap and people like you always trashing our team.:fire: Thanks for helping me make my decision.

What part of this "negative crap" is untrue?

The only hope for an offensive resurgence by Miami is that the young guys like Alabi, Toledo, and Satele from come out of nowhere to grab starting jobs and shine. Now, you can bury your head in the sand and pretend that Miami has a good OL but it's likely that the problems on the OL are going to seriously hamper what the team can do on offense no matter how many skill players they add.
