Looks like Brown will sit down with the Pistons today. My prediction is that they agree to buy out his contract and he signs as the Knicks' coach within the next month. The Pistons will then hire Flip Saunders within 48 hours.

Weird situation, to be sure. On the one hand, Brown's one of the two best coaches in the NBA (can't say he's the best, seeing as how Gregg Popovich outcoached him in the finals). On the other, you can't have your head coach talking with another team in the middle of the playoffs.

If he's gone, I'll definitely miss him, but his purpose was definitely served in Detroit. My hope is that he apologizes, they work everything out (including coming to an understanding about getting Darko Milicic and Carlos Delfino some playing time), and he coaches next year, but that looks increasingly unlikely.

I don't see him coaching with the Pistons again because they already have a guy in their coaching staff(i believe) thta is ready to take the job. I do think that he will coach the Knicks. The suprise team that u think that Brown will coach will be the Sonics.

i think he ends up with the knicks, or he'll sit out a year for health reasons. i would like to see him stay with the pistons

I am so sick of Larry Brown. He's a great coach, but he's a coach. The Pistons did this with Rick Carlisle, and they're doing it with Brown. But I don't want hourly updates on him on ESPN, I don't give a crap about what his wife says, I don't really care if the Knicks are interested again or not. This isn't a story. This is the media blowing something way out of proportion.
