Back in 82 our o-line was,
LT-Gisler
LG-Newman(pro bowl)
C-Stevenson(pro bowl)
RG-Kuechenburg(probowl)
RT-Laksso
We had Nathan and Andrea Franklin in the back field and we ran the ball behind those guys.We went to the super bowl with Woodley(RIP) and that running game and the killer bees.
Now we have Ricky at RB and we can't get 3 yards thanks to our o-line play. It feels like a bad hand on a poker game when you actually wanna trade all 5 cards. Right now, there isn't a guy on that o-line that any other team would want.
It goes to show that you can run with a good o-line even if the RB is not great. Ricky can only do so much by himself and he's tired of getting hit at the LOS!
BTW, that defence really need to work at tackling.
