We all know how the league APPEARS to slob all over some qb's in the league. I don't know about the rest of you but I was almost getting the vibe last night. That pass interference call almost cost me a 51" DLP HDTV last night. I was seething mad at that call. Let the guys play, seriously.

I almost get the feeling that some "feel good" stories of the year are coddled by the league. We all know brady started this and still continues today. Well, I think the NFL needs another golden boy and have been looking at Ryan, Flacco and filthy sanchez. Sanchez makes the most sense because he is from latino descent and plays in a big market. Maybe tinfoil hat stuff but I don't think anyone can disagree that they have done this over the years BIG TIME with Brady and the pats. From the "tuck" rule, to mcginnest faking injury against the colts to harrison mugging colts wideouts and subsequent rule changes, et al.

I dunno. Great game last night and I have slept on many thoughts over the night, hence the plethora of posts on different topics.

too late....didn't you see that slow motion love affair with Dirty Sanchez last night? Its hispanic/latino heritage month, but not once did they feature Greg Camarillo.....the NFL loves it some underwear models

Everyone that knows anything about football knows that was a horribe call. I hope what you say is not the case.

It not only was a bad call but the timing of the call was perfect to allow Sanchez and the Jets to win the game.

Agree, even a friend of mine who is a huge Jests fan said it was a BS call

It was a borderline call but you can see it both ways, there was clear contact w/ your defender grabbing Braylon's arm. This is not some made up call w/ no contact and they saved you guys a crucial timeout on that challenge. How come no one complains about that?

Let's put aside fandom for a minute. Take a hard look at that play. Both guys were looking for the ball. Both guys were jostling for position. At one point, Allen touched Braylons arm for 1/10 of a second but Edwards pushed him off. That call should have NEVER been made because Allen's arm "bar" or lack thereof, never impeded Edwards path to the ball or put him out of position. He could have made that catch but dropped it. Allen's contact was a few seconds prior to the ball even getting there. If anything, call illegal contact.

Add the timing of the call and it was a VERY bad call. If Allen didn't have his head around looking for the ball and was shading Edwards from the ball, then yes call it, but he wasn't. That was a horrible call. On par with the calls against Baltimore for the supposed terrible hits on Brady.

They weren't jostling for position, Braylon had him beat and your DB garnnged Braylon's arm. edwrads pushed off his arm that the DB had grabbed.

PI is PI whether it's in the 1st or 4th qtr.

You see the glass half empty and I half full. Even the commentators stated it was a bad call. Being fans from opposite sides of the ball doesn't help either. Nothing you don't see in the NFL on a weekly basis that doesn't get called the vast majority of the time IMO. It should have been an illegal contact call.

At that point in the game, unless it is flagrant, you don't make the call IMO.

Sanchez played a pretty damn good game though.

Just for the record, after last night I'm not a fan of the NFL's pass interference rules. It can have too much of an effect on the outcome. Needs to be a 15 yard penalty like most levels of football.

He was 12 for 24, 172 yards and 1 TD. "Pretty damn good"? That's an average game if you ask me.

You have to look beyond the stats. Stats mean NOTHING. You have to look at where those numbers came from and their context. This is NFL 101 people...

i just LOL'd at this...

It was one of Edwards infamous drops...not a pass interference. NO WAY SHOULD THAT HAVE BEEN PASS INTERFERENCE. EVERYONE (outside of jets fans) knows that was an atrocious call.
