The Les Brown story

Meh it doesn't even matter if they were being selective.. they showed a good 10-20 different plays with brown getting completely destroyed in protection.

Dan Campbell (our TE coach) flat out called him a huge liability in run block and pass pro. Hard Knocks likely just highlighted that as Les Brown is an interesting overall story. Campbell did also mention the kid does exactly what he is told and is a hard worker. Later in the show during a talent evaluation meeting, Jeff Ireland calls Brown a rare athlete that you can't find very easily. Given Ireland's statement, I think Brown get's a long look before anyone considers sending him packing.

I could definitely see him turn into a Aaron Hernandez type if he can just become a fair blocker but spend most of his time running the seems, splitting out to take advantage of his size, speed, etc. I hope it happens but he has a LONG way to go to make the final 53.

Why isn't BROWN being tried at WR? Given his "measurables", a very stupid mistake by the MIAMI Coaching Staff. And one that I'd bet BELLICHEK wouldn't make.

This guy sucks as a TE and I hope they don't show is sorry azz blocking on Hard Knock anymore, it's a downer.

All I know is I'm going to be using "as ushe" for just about every statement I make regarding Les Brown.

Great athletic guys are just not always all around football players.

Great athletic guys are just not always all around football players.

Look at it this way- the guy is so physically talented that he's in an NFL camp and hasn't played football since high school. Think about that. The longer he lasts in camp, the more incredible the story will become. Jeff Ireland said it- you just can't go out and find an athlete like that on the street. He's gone straight from high school football to competing with some of the most elite athletes in the world. If he fails, so be it, but give this guy some time. The fact that he couldn't block worth a s*** off the bat is not surprising- the question is how much better can he get, and how quickly.

Can he become our Aaron Hernandez? I'm more concerned with that than any Hard Knocks bs or the penchant for some fans to quickly jump on a negative band wagon and ride it for all they're worth. I'd love to see Les Brown make the team or more likely the PS. Take a chance on elite athletic ability instead of some other stiff like Mastrud- what's the opportunity cost there? If Fasano gets injured you can pick up a Jeremy Shockey or some other dude on the street. Take a chance on greatness- the odds aren't there, but look at the timeline and career of Antonio Gate and compare it to Les Brown's. It can be done, and he's in an NFL camp with no football experience since high school for a reason-he's an elite athlete.

This guy has practice squad written all over him..but with the exposure he's getting on hard knocks he'll probaly get picked up by someone..watch out for rick spielman and the vikings!

IF BROWN goes to the P/S, he'll be poached immediately by BELLICHEK, unless some other team does it sooner.

my guess if the kid sticks around .. they make him look bad at first and then show him coming around .. makes for better tv .. maybe he isnt struggling that bad

all of the radio shows are asking why the guy is still on the roster...im hoping some of them have watched a practice before spouting off...

I know omar isnt well loved but he doesnt think much of brown...
