Well I don't even know where to begin...

First and foremost I wish fellow dolphins fans would come to their senses. How so many of you bought into the notion that we are some great team is beyond me. All of this talk about superbowls is rediculous and you need to put down the stupid magazines. IMO we are nothing more than an average team with some above average tendencies. I will leave it at that..flame all you want.

Secondly, I have been a long time dolphins fan and don't need my loyalties questioned. My views are just that, my own opinion. Bottom line for me is that we still have the same problems that occured during the wanny era. Our team, for whatever reason lacks heart and attitude. Sure we have had flashes of what could be possible coming at the end of last year, but at this point we seem to be a team with a possible divided locker room and a bunch of followers but no leaders. It seems that if we don't break things down for our players and let them know exactly what to do...well the end result is what happened today. Is our team just a bunch of idiots?

Looking around at the rest of some games today, we cannot even execute the fundamentals. I find it hard to believe that its just the players. I mean for gods sake, they made it to the NFL. Whether its the system or individual players, its definitely sickening to watch. Our performance to this point is nothing short of watching the raiders or titans.

Lastly is that I don't know what has happened but maybe since I haven't bought into the idea that we are better than we are, it has made taking the losses much easier. I hate to lose as much as the next guy but when you don't put so much faith into something it makes it easier to get over the "shoulda been's" or "coulda been's". I surely don't like the dolphins less at all even though we don't have much of the "core" anymore. I think as dolphins fans we need to stop the blind homerism and realize that these are huge growing pains and we are just an average football team at this point. I also wouldn't start pressing the panick button just yet. Have faith in saban and the system but just realize that the lofty expectations were just the media being stupid. If you bought into that...well no offence but your just as stupid for believe it.

There is so much more to talk about. We could blame individual players and systems and coaches but the bottom line is until you get players that will believe in what a coach is saying..your gonna have problems. You don't basically mess up every single aspect of execution in a game like we did today if there isn't some kind of turmoil going on within the club.

Life as a dolphins fan....gotta be one of the hardest franchises to love when they constantly never live up to potential. The problem is they are like a disease that runs through your veins and has no cure....

I agree about the divided locker room (which I mentioned earlier). I also think that if we keep bringing in "age challenged" veterans and potentially problem players, we are looking at many seasons of mediocrity

I think after this year there is going to be a major roster shake down. All of the inept pieces of the puzzle will be thrown out and we will bring in players that can make the system work. I love J.T. and the D-line but there is no denying that they are getting old and have lost a step. We also need some work at the linebacker position as well.

Which means another 3-5 year setback. I would love to know which players are injecting this crappy mentality on this team. Also, as good as randy could be, I don't like the fact that he refuses to block and its so evident. We don't need those kind of players on the team.

At this point, I believe our timing is way off and that starts with the o-line. I would expect by week 5 we are clicking. Hopefully we are 3-2 by then because we cannot afford to be 2-3, 1-4 or worse. Our team is so freaking streaky its not even funny.

Part of the problem is that the team isn't built the right way

Look at the Patriot's roster and ours...one team builds through the draft...the other just tries to fit in pieces that don't fit.

our quarterback needs time to settle down as well. G.frerotte looked much better in the second half of last year opposed to the first half

Hmmm..we have been building since '74 right?? Figured we would have gotten it done by now....

I honestly am just done with the excuses. I have heard them all. I am not blaming certain players, coaches, specific "what if's"...I am done with that. Bottom line with me is that WE ARE JUST NOT THAT GOOD. Plain and simple. If people want to keep their blinders and and sulk for days after a loss like I used to do, then good luck with that. That is a terrible thing to put yourself through. Just realize that we are rebuilding and we are FAR from making the turn IMO.
