I've read some of the analysis on the draft by experts much more knowledgeable about the subject than me.

A great site is www.nfldraftcountdown.com.

I did some research and found that after the 1st round, the offensive and defensive line talent dramatically decreases. I think the Dolphins should draft a DT the caliber of Alan Branch or OT Levi Brown after trading down. I really hope a star caliber player is available that other teams would covet because drafting those specific players @#9.

Let's hope!

The problem with drafting Levi Brown at #9 is that it's a complete and total reach. By comparison, Joe Thomas at #9 would be a steal... but he won't fall that far.

We definitely need a Left Tackle, to the point where I want the team to try to trade up to get Joe Thomas. Put him at Left Tackle, and suddenly Culpepper will be able to play football on both feet instead of his ***.

I think are D line has some good young talent. Especially, if Manny Wright can get his head together and play for somebody else(don't balme him for not staying with Saybone after all we've heard lately).

The OLine is a different story completely! Draft has been so so FA's have been so so. I don't have a clue what to do except ask the friggin Patsies who is a good choice for the O line.

I think Levi Brown had a very good year....maybe as good as Joe Thomas. I'd rather see us trade down to get Levi Brown than pick Thomas at the #9 pick. Or trade down further and pick up Posluzny from Penn State.

I find it nonsensical to draft Levi Brown who is nothing more than a RT. I say we should make sure we sign Eric Steinbach, Nate Clements, and Kevin Curtis...and draft A. Okoye in the 1st round of the draft

I see Manny Wright battling it out with Fred Evans and Kevin Vickerson to replace Vonnie Holiday

So, we need to draft a NT in the 1st round

Eric Steinbach is our answer for the OLine question.

6-6 295 lbs, can play both LG and LT...so he can either replace DMac at LT, or we can move Shelton back to LT and Steinbach replaces James at LG

But we definitely need to target either Kevin Curtis to replace Welker or Booker...or trade for Randy Moss...

but definitely fix the OLine and WR prior to the draft

If we sign Steinbach(expensive) and either sign Curtis(cheapish) or trade for Moss(restructure contract/so cheapish)...we should have the money to also sign Nate Clements(expensive)

This is real life, not franchise mode in Madden.

Ok, genius...i guess you have no idea that the redskins signed mulitple "expensive" FAs with "less" cap space?

also, see cleveland?

...we have "more" cap space then they did last year...and i only stated "2" expensive FAs and a cheapish one...

with $17mil, "plus" $3mil by cutting Booker, $2mil by cutting Harrington, $2mil by cutting Anderson, $2mil by cutting James, $4mil by cutting Carter,...

then, restructuring up to $5mil from Zach's contract... etc.

then, we probably "only" need to re-sign David Bowens, Cleo Lemon, and Bell... hello?

maybe, maybe cut Big Daddy and re-sign Traylor...:shakeno:...you are clueless bud

No really, I love the way you are making next year's roster.

Pro Bowl free agent corner? Check!
Pro Bowl free agent offensive lineman? Check!

It isn't about straight cap numbers, the guys would have to actually want to play here and we would likely have to be their highest offer. These are the top free agents at their respective positions and I expect the bidding to get a little out of control. Do you really want to model your franchise after the Redskins?
