The logistical reason we are very much in the manning hunt

Very simple... Ignore all the reports except for 1... The one where Manning's camp informed the Redskins he was simply not interested. The reason doesnt matter.. He thinks the skins suck, doesnt want to play for the nfc ( ari?), whatever it really doesnt matter. But point is, that story was accurate. How do we know? They switched gears and traded for the number 2 pick a day after they were told about not being in the race anymore.

If Manning extended that courtesy to the redskins, he most certainly would have told the fins of his no interest by now as well. And if that were the case, they would already be signing Flynn as we speak. But thats not happening..

Thus.... WE are still very much in this....

Very well said, except the fact that the FO is not high on Flynn, so instead of working on a deal for Flynn, they would be working on a package to get the #1 overall pick from the Colts very much like the Redskins did for the #2

Miami is still in this guys. The Miami FO is acting weird for some reason. This is going to be an exciting next couple of days.

My point is, we would have already heard that we have turned our attention to Flynn as to solidify his confidence as our QB and Philbins top choice (presumably)
We couldn't "turn our attention to Flynn" without courting a tampering charge, so we really would have nothing to say until Tuesday regarding Flynn. So IF Manning had told the Dolphins they were not in the running, there would be no reason to say anything. We'd just look like the jilted lover....again.

I don't think Manning would do this, but you could make an argument if he and his agent have ruled out Miami they wouldn't do the same as they did with the Redskins simply to use Miami as leverage.

Like I said, I doubt Manning would allow that to take place. It would take a huge chunk out of his nice guy REP.

I think if this were the case and Manning was intending to use Miami as leverage, he would have visited with the Dolphins first, thus potentially threating teams as to what Miami has to offer. At this point, the teams are not scared of Miami's leverage as he has not even met with the Dolphins.

We are very much in it....

We have idiot reporters who approach Manning with such stupidity it's fukkin embarrassing. How the fukk do you tell him he's "the next Dan Marino" in south florida ?? He's Peyton fukkin Manning, not Marino. It could have been approached in a thousand better ways. He could have easily said "how do you feel that Dolphin fans can see those high flying times again" .. or, just simply "we haven't had a quarterback in ages and this is a qb starved town, this could be a great fit for you" etc etc .. Bringing in Marino was such an asinine idea and comment.. as if Manning wants to end his career playing in the shadows of someone else.

This doesn't surprise me though. Miami is a city of imbeciles . Truly the dumbest, rudest and most selfish people I've ever had the unfortunate experience to encounter (and I've traveled all over north america and the world - over 30 countries) . Miami has the standard education level of a 4th grader among their adults. Leaving south florida for greener pastures a decade ago is BY FAR the best choice I've ever made for me and my family.

Sounds like you would fit in quite nicely then! :rolleyes2:

I agree, it's not something I think Manning would allow to happen. I think he's been 100% honest with teams he has shown interest in. Anything short of that will come out, and he won't look so good after all of this goes down. This is a man, that is very much concerned with how ppl view him.

How funny would it be if Manning did not make a decision by tuesday and reggie wayne signed with us immediately regardless?

Hey peyton, come back down to reality dude.

but its amazing that no one mentions arizona's cap space. amazing i tell ya. But they do mention that they have until next saturday to cut Kolb in order to not pay his bonus. whoo hoo! thats a big one right there! lol but hey, if we dont get manning and we keep Kolb, we essentially are telling Kolb we f'd up. lol rich i tell ya. rich.

great post. he also told the jets to piss off. manning is a class act he is not going to string along teams he is not interested in. im sure if peyton told the dolphins no , we would have heard so by now. i keep seeing reports that ross has requested an interview, so any theories that suggest he is not going to interview with us are bogus IMO.

Now with the addition of mannign saying outright no to seattle and KC, this is very much looking like Miami was last on the visit list for a reason... I think its looking better by the minute
