The Lord has looked down upon our Fins tonight and let the blessings reign.

why would we sign Keith Traylor? Why does Saban like to sign OLD defensive lineman? Yes he already drafted Matt Roth which was good. But we already have Vonnie Holliday, Kevin Carter, and now possible Keith Traylor with Larry Chester coming back? We already have Jason Taylor, David Bowens. How many DL's do we need?? I think we shouldve invested our money in some veteran offensive lineman instead of defensive lineman.

Because TimBo is a HUGE question mark. Keith Traylor, although old, would be a 2 year fix. You cant fix everything in 1 year, we didnt have the draft picks to do so.

I would figure Traylor would be signed to a 3-4 year contract where we can cut/release him after 2 years and not take a cap hit. I would also expect us to draft a OT/DT with our 1st rounder in the draft next year.

You need roughly 6 GOOD Dlineman. I like to see 3 good ends and 3 good DTs. Figure we have JT, Roth, Holliday and Bowens at end...... one of them shouldnt last. Carter, Chester, Traylor at DT.... with TimBo being hurt we need Traylor.

Also, Improved Offense = More 1st Downs = More Rest for Defense = Increase Efficiency/Productivity

a real running back = improved line = improved Feeley (I hope)

you've got that backwards...improved line = improved running back = improved Feeley

It was the Pope. The last one was a PAts fan. This new one could be a finfan.

At least someone gets it...the OL, and running game, plus a system that understood by it's coord, certainly helps, our multi OC's last year wasn't good.

You hit the nail on the head shag--All that = improved AJ

u guys need some good news to balance out the bad with poole out all year and law is about to sign with lions anyday.....

I knew the fins couldn't afford even an injured Law. I don't really care but I sure don't want to see him go to the Jets. If he signs with the Lions thats fine with me.

The real blessing I think will be Nick Saban. We haven't seen him in action yet but I think everyone (even rival fans) can agree he will be better than Wanny. Even an average coach would have at least made a playoff run with the 02 team. The end of that season disgusted me.

I wasn't trying to dampen your excitement. Just trying to tell people not to count their chicks yet. We've all been through this last year when you first signed Boston.

Whoa, whoa.....nobody is counting any chickens yet. First of all, you can't compare the sigining of Boston last spring to all the moves we made this offseason. The wheeling & dealing by Saban will make us miles better than last year's 4-12 debacle and if Ricky comes back this summer, we'll be in the postseason hunt, book it. By the way, you were trying to rain on our parade, you're being negative...probably because you know that J.P. Losman isn't going to be much better than Drew and because you've lost two tight ends in non-contact drills.

Miami will be back sooner than later, learn to deal with it!

I think mentioning the 2002 collapse should result in a permanent ban from this site. Excuse me while I wash the taste of vomit out of my mouth, I just remembered the New England game that year :barf:

thanking the Lord for moves that have yet to have any reslults seems to me is counting chicks. What happens if the fins go 4-12 again this year or worse? What happens if Saban turns out to be another Surrier? Will you be thanking the Lord then?

No, it has nothing to do w/ the bills and NO we didn't lose 2 TE's to non contact drills. We lost 1 just like the fins except yours was a cb.
