I'd take it with a HUGE grain of salt.

Commentators always try to go with a sleeper pick so if it happens they look like a genius...Granted, I agree the Phins are going to be a HUGE force in the AFC in the coming years, but don't forget the Texans, Chargers, Eagles, Cowboys, and Falcons were supposed to do really well last season, and none of them even made the playoffs.

And John Clayton talking about the Phins trading Ricky for Edge is propostorous. MIA doesn't need Edgerrin anymore. Ronnie is a stud. If they trade, I'd rather them get someone like Doss or Bob Sanders, or Jeff Saturday or someone else on Indy's solid o-line, and a draft pick.

Clayton wasnt saying we are trading for Edge. He is saying if Ricky is traded, then we would sign edge to replace him which is a stupid idea since he wants big money and he wants to be the full time starter.

your dreams of trading ricky for any of those colts players have madden written all over them..

Thats what makes the NFL the best organized sports league on earth. Anyone can be a flop and anyone can turn things around in a single season and make it to the superbowl. Although were rebuilding it may take a single move or a single player to step up and motivate a team to ride the wave of victory. On paper we may have holes but I believe the phins can do it any year, look at the turnaround we accomplished last season, no one predicted that. And on a side note, the dirty bills were supposed to do well last year too, but here on FInHaven we all saw right through that one:sidelol:

They had that show on ESPN with Woody Paige and they were picking the best teams for next year. Woody had the Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons tied for the 5th best team in the NFL for next year. He and the other guy had the Patriots and Indy in the #1 and #2 spot.

re:

I wasn't saying we should trade Ricky for Edge, I'm actually all in favor of keeping Ricky until he retires for good. Signing arguably the highest priced FA at a position where there are already 2 SOLID players this year would be an absolutely DUMB move. Everyone keeps looking for the X factor that will take the Fins to the SB, and I believe it's Ricky.

These after season things on ESPN are just a way to keep a hold of the best sport during this absolute dry spell where nothing HUGE is going on in any sport.

I say keep Ricky. I was one of the biggest anti Ricky people in the world and after 12 games he has won me over. One of the reasons we may be picked to do so well is the fact that we have both Ricky and Ronnie to carry the ball. I want to see both of them in Dolphin uniforms next year. I think we will be good and just love to see the so called experts jump on the bandwagon.

re:

Clayton is an absolute MORON. One of the few teams in the league that DOESN'T need Edge is MIA. I don't know why, but I see Edge going to the Jets. And they'll get Cutler too. I don't know why, but I think it's because I hate the Jets.

Is Clayton still spouting that nonsense? I heard him say it a week ago and wrote it off as a momentary lapse of reason.

Here's a suggestion..........

Instead of being a paranoid fan and asking people to take good gestured public acknowledgement of the Fins "with a grain of salt," why don't you just enjoy it? This is what you cry-babies have been weeping for for years now. Grow up, you sound like a RedSox fan who's still got the "cursed" chip on his shoulder even after winning the World Series.

Has anyone ever noticed the spittle that always appears on Clayton's lips as he is pontificating? There should be a requirement that every football analyst run a twenty yard in route and catch the football. Clayton does have a redeeming quality however: I love watching Salisbury ridicule him.
