Don't hear this mentioned much but one of the main things that stood out in this game compared to MOST of Tannehill's games over the last few years is that Adam Gase has finally dialed up plays that fit Tannehill's time in the pocket. When he did pass at the beginning of the game most were QUICK slant routes, Screens and even had him rolling out more. THIS is the strength of Tannehill and the oft time questionable Oline (Obviously not yesterday but).

That is what will get Tannehill going regardless if the line is Swizz Cheese or a Brick Wall. Plays designed to get the ball out of his hands quickly. Adam Gase Dialed up many quick outs, slants and as you see it worked to perfection. That is something that has been lacking for a loooong time. His prior games were all 5, 7 step drop backs and (trying to) wait for a longer developing play to develop, That's not the answer here in Miami so I'm glad to see Gase recognizing that and adjusting the playbook to fit our QB and Oline. Keep those short quick plays up and we are going places!

I noticed he was FINALLY calling the quick slant to Landry. I've been waiting for this. Almost indefensible.

The main difference was the O line play. Everything else is secondary to this root cause.

True, but the most encouraging thing to me was the run game. Running the ball successfully is the cure for all sorts of ills and creates a lot of opportunities for other successes.

I like the rollouts and moving the pocket, makes the defense have to think about where they are going. Every little indecision helps slow down a pass rush. If they always know where the QB is going to be its easy to just get after it.

Yes the Oline play is definitely near or even tied with my point. How many times in the last few games that even when he had time, he'd hold the ball too long and eventually get sacked? How many of those quick routes have we seen all season better yet in the last few seasons? We haven't seen those whether the line held up or not, so it's a difference maker having quick plays just in case the line does fold.

I expect a few more QB runs this week against Buffalo. We haven't used Tannehill's legs much this season and this week we will need another gear out of our offense. He's going to have to run for 30-40 yards and pick up some sneaky first downs.

It would be nice to add a healthy Jordan Cameron to this offense and see it at full force for the first time this season. Maybe even swinging a trade for Julius Thomas who's been a non factor for the Jaguars and who has a handle of our offense already having had his best seasons under Gase.

I was just thinking that it was a blessing in disguise to NOT have Cameron in the lineup. Now that we should be without Sims this week, we will need another 3rd TE though.

I always liked Dion Sims over Cameron, Just seemed more of a solid TE to me outside of that missed TD catch yesterday

After yesterday with Gray and Jones stepping up, i'm not in any hurry to see Cameron on the field again
