I think alot of people were counting on him. Its Culliver and Howard now.

It seemed like the writing was on the wall - claimed and was never activated. There is something they did not like, or he was not fully healthy.
 
Some posters here have been speculating something was up with Bene. Turns out they were right on the $$.

This is not too surprising.
 
Guess he wasn't too impressive in practice. Never got to see the field for the Dolphins.

We will be fine with Culliver and Howard. We just need them both in there at 100%.

No sense in splitting their time w/ Bene if they determined he was JAG.
 
That explains Pitts being called up...also frees up a spot for Mitchell.
 
I really don't like to be counting on guys that haven't played all year for us. I see lots of people wanting to get Culliver out there. I want to see what he can do of course but maybe people are expecting a little too much from him. He hasn't played a down yet so it could take him 2 or 3 games to get the feel for it again. Being healthy is one thing but being ready to play in the NFL is another thing. Hoping for the best but untill I see him out there actually playing good I won't get my hopes high

Its either an injury problem or mental problem (struggling to pick up the playbook).

hoops do you think Bene is hurt or was having too much trouble understanding the defense?

like u said, they are desperate. one of those two reasons had to be a major issue for them to cut him.

I have no idea

I would doubt it would be understanding the defense given I think Carolina plays it pretty similar
