We all know the name of the game at this point. Looking at today's result, let's take a look at what could have been after today.

Pittsburgh has a bye and is 6-4. Jets lose to Houston and fall to 5-5, Texans are 5-5 too. K.C. wins and are now 5-5. Indy is 5-5. Buffalo will be 5-5 after losing in NE tomorrow.

So per the norm, had Miami found a way to win today, tiebreakers not withstanding they've be tied for the 2nd Wild Card spot and only a game back of Pittsburgh for the WC 1 spot. This with Revis getting concussed today and Nick Mangold having a severe laceration on his hand which Bowles said was "serious". That would've set Miami up for a good chance at winning in NY next week to leapfrog the Jets for a potential #2 WC lead.

But that doesn't happen with this team. I know I know, speaking of the postseason is comical. Logan Thomas should be starting over Tannehill, the rain caused Miami to stink, and Joe Philbin's ghost isn't gathering the Indian spirits under Sun Life stadium to collectively throw bad karma at the team for canning him.

Does Miami win next week in NY to pull even with the Jets? It might have mattered had they won today. But again we as fans follow a team who seems lost at sea with no direction of where to go.

As the world turns....
