The Miami Dolphins have offered QB Alex Smith a Multi-Year Deal

I hope the multi year offer is only 2 or 3 years....I really dont see Smith as a Franchise QB. I also hope they pressure him into making a decision before Manning makes his, just to let the league know we arent anybodys fall back team.

I was just on a couple of Colts boards this morning, just seeing what they're saying. Never read words from such a group of happy, optimistic, hopeful people in my whole life.

Then I come on Finheaven and I read about David Garrard comin' in for a physical today.
 
should be fun running a timing and accuracy offense under philbin with tim tebow at qb...look for one of those 3rd round picks being dangled for him...

The scary thing though is that it is a real possibility. Heard that Lombardi quote this morning too. The dolphins confuse hope with having a plan

Adam S live on ESPN just said Alex Smith to the 9ers is not a lock 9ers could go forward with kolin c. But will see crazt stuff...
 
Yep, sign noodle arm Smith. That way we can draft a slow 3/4 DE from a Big Ten school, prob Michigan or Penn State. Get an undersized corner from Indiana. A fat running back from a Big 12 school, and don't forget: a 33 yr old "project" QB from, oh, Coastal Carolina. Then we can line that team up against The Pats.   I'm pumped.
