The Miami Dolphins Number 1 Scoring Defense | Film Study

Pretty interesting that the top scoring defense has made the playoffs every year this century 2000-2019.

with Pittsburg and Baltimore so close it could hold true again this year. We need to shutdown the bills if we want to keep the #1 ranking.

Yet none of those 5 teams had offenses and injuries close to what Miami has had. So which is more impressive those types with overrall decent offenses which gives their defense some advantage throughout games or Miami Defense which practically never got much of an advantage from it's offense?

Miami Defense is not the reason they aren't in the playoffs.

Fine. We build up the offense via draft and free agency so they can catch up. Only so much a defense can do with no weapons on offense beside QB.

This defense far out performed ANYONE'S expectations.

Agreed, They played great all year but lack of offense will eventually wear out any good defense.

There's a reason they call it a team sports with all three phases.

It's one of the reasons Tennessee will be out of the playoffs very soon.

Their defense has been atrocious!
 
If Miami's offense was even middle of the league quality, the defense might have held that #1 spot all year.

I would think the Dolphins try to find an elite pass rusher. Otherwise, this offseason is all about offense.
