A little known formation brought a bunch of grown men together and made them believe. And as a result they went on to break NFL records that year.

As I watch this again, how can you not absolutely love this team ?

Enjoy !

Sure you can say that hiring Bill Parcells really started the culture shift. But this is when it started to rear it's head on the field.. It's great to watch as we embark on a new season.

Love that guy ! He is incredibly key to the defense. He's so underrated by fans.

It's so beautiful it makes me cry.

I absolutely agree with you - this game completely changed the mindset of the players. After two tough losses (a sloppy one to the Jets and the blowout to Zona), it looked like it would be the same ol'. This game made them start to believe in the coaching staff. And the fact it was the Patriots IN FOXBORO could not have meant more to the players I'm sure. If it was just about any other team I don't think it would have been as much of an immediate culture shift as it was.

oasis, don't forget that the Patriots had a 20+ home-game winning streak coming into that game.

Just makes it even sweeter to smash them up-and-down the field and totally kick their a$$es like we did. That's something you can watch 20 times straight with a few beers in tow ;)

We know what he's capable of, it's the league underestimating him.

He'll be more recognized when he goes out there and does his thing when we play our night games :hi5:

I think this is the key. They had won something like 20 reg season games in a row, and we had lost 20 out of our last 21 or something like it. This was the NFLs equivalent to Buster Douglass knocking out Mike Tyson. It shocked the world.

Thanks Greyboy! Man was that fun to watch again! I still don't understand why the NFL Network hasn't replayed this.

Great post.. "If this don't get you fired up I don't know what will!!!"

Man did we all deserve that after the hell of the prior season.

I will never, AND I MEAN NEVER, get tired of the highlights of that game.

I cant thank you enough for this. I missed this game as I was out of town. When they told me we had won, I was like, woah! what? I didnt believe them, but had been expecting to see more than highlights from this game for a long time. Only game I completely missed last season. Listened to another game on the radio and was getting text messages on the other as I was at work

The best part of that game was watching all the Pats fans pulling out of the stadium with about 10 minutes to go! That was beautiful.

What amazed me is having Tuna, Sporano, and Henning (with over 100 years of coaching experience), and expected to bring smash mouth football to Miami, doing it.

To my surprise, they had to be like kids again playing with a new toy.
