Things were actually going to be turned around in Miami..., other than "the Trifecta" - for me it was signing J Long prior to the 08 draft...

Easy answer, the minute they announced Parcells was coming. Some will argue he doesn't build championship teams, but you cannot argue with the fact that the man knows football and football players.

As the 07 season dragged on I was hoping that Parcells would come save us. When it happened I knew things were finally going to start going the other way.

I was kind of hoping to leave the Trifecta out of the equation that for all of us is a given.... We all exhaled when he replaced CAMRAM...

Just as FINSFAN_IN_IRAQ said as soon as BP was hired I knew all would be good, I just didn't think it would be this good this quickly.

We're also better off then most of the teams he help before because he's put in place a stable of talent in the FO to ensure a lengthy stay on top.

The J.Long signing let everyone know there was a plan in place and we're sticking to it. I really don't remember a time when you could see the layout and follow the steps to getting there.

the truck has made a u-turn and is facing the right direction Lets see what this season brings

I agree....also watching the team play their heart out in tough losses ie. Texans game.... although they lost and were largely outplayed by Andre Johnson, it showed a mindset that I haven't seen, likely since Shula was here

if were leaving parcells out of it, i'm gonna say when we signed chad pennington...that gave us instant credibility at the quartback position, who beat us many times as the jets starter..as soon as we signed him, we had the best starter since marino at qb cause we got a banged up version of daunte culpepper..

I'm going with the wild-cat, when I was watching that game I said to my brother, ronnie brown just took the the snap, wtf!! and scored!! When we dominated that game it really gave the team a different mindset. We played ok against the Jets in week 1 but in week 2 I thought we were the same old losing team. But deffinately the Pats game changed the culture here.

two moments actually

week 3 against the Patriots when we rolled all over them
week 17 against the Jets removed all doubts. that's a team that had their way with us for a while yet we beat them in their house.

also specifically in that game, the goal line stand with the stop of LT on 4th down... that was a play that just one year prior would have been a TD and led to us most likely losing that game... basically Chambers had just scored to make it 17-10, then on the kickoff Bess fumbles and the Chargers recover... right there it looks like same ol' 2007 Fins... they end up 1st and goal from the 10, and on 3rd down Chambers makes a catch and gets stopped at the 1 yard line... giving up a score there would have been a HUGE momentum turn and really crushed us, instead we stop them, we take momentum, and hold on to win...

very defining moment that we were turning the corner...

I knew the moment the cameras focused on Parcells in the luxury box with binoculars on during that the tail end of the prior season.

The 2nd moment was in that first game against the Jets. Pennington had a bloody nose but he still drove the fins within one play of winning that game.

If 'the family guy' would have either caught or defended that pass...

We were inches away from pulling out that win.
