I think it is somewhat humorous how some of you people talk about what the team spent on a player. Why do any of you really care what the team spent on a certain player? It's not your money.

For me personally, the only reason I would care, is if the money the team spent on one player kept the team from getting other needed help due to lack of funds. That is clearly not the case in this instance. (Grove)

Can someone explain to me why they have such a big beef with how much we pay certain players?

How do you know that is not the case here? Every dollar spent on one player is less to spend on someone else. If all their needs were covered, with no more holes to fill I might agree with your statement but that is clearly not the case. This is pretty basic stuff, man.

Its not neccessarily one player. If a team overspends on a number of players the cumulative effect can prevent you from bringing in someone else.

Personally, I dont know if we overspent for anyone yet. If Grove pans out he might even be a bargain. We wont know till camps and the season get underway.
