And I feel about the same way I felt last night.
We had some players that had good games last night.
TJM,Quinn,Phillips and Taylor had good games on defense but still over all too many missed tackles and too many mistakes.

On offense Drake had a good game and so did Stills. Nice TD by DA but again, the first 3 drives were horrible by our starters and we scored 10 points for the whole game.

So we have some guys playing well but over all we're not playing good TEAM football.
But I'll wait for the regular season and see how the team does. I still have hopes for good things but we need to get it together quick.

People keep telling me that it’s preseason and Gase isn’t showing anything. Maybe that’s true but what’s the point of not running the effective plays that have already been put in tape? The plays I saw so far this preseason are overly conservative dumpoffs. I counted exactly 6 times the entire preseason where Tannehill threw the ball over 10 yards. One thing I know for sure is that scoring is contagious. Players having fun and being challenged appropriately sets a tone for the future. You know what else, not scoring is also contagious!

Stop analyzing this stuff so much man.

I've seen maybe 10 snaps of preseason football, if they play good it doesn't matter and if they don't play good it doesn't matter.

I appreciate your mature and patient approach. It’s both healthier and wise. I however can’t help but wonder if its manifested due to the fact that you may have entered that phase of numbness that so many have talked about. I still have my whole week affected by a Dolphin loss and have yet to master apathy.

When the teams plays sloppy undisciplined football including the guys who are getting cut and are trying to play their best and make the team I think that falls on coaching. Unless he’s saving his secret plays and his disciplined coaching for the regular season.

Not at all man.

I generally don't care about Pre Season, I never have and never will.

Patience is a virtue
Posses it if you can
Seldom in a woman
Never in a "fan"

Disagree!!!

Preseason coaching is based primarily on player assessment, not winning the football game but winning the "personnel selection and limiting injury" game. That is a form of disciplined coaching which apparently you have not recognized.

Winning the game and being healthy enough to win the next game is what the 16 game season is all about. Gase has demonstrated he can do that in 2016. In 2017 he did as well as 1/2 of the teams in the league with many times the adversity most of them had.

I want no whine until its time. In about 7 weeks it may be time, but I doubt it.

They probably won't show anything till week 5 or 6. Just hope we make it into the offseason healthy.

This may be a joke to you, but I honestly don’t think there’s anything to show. I don’t get to see the all 22 film too often but it appears that Gase designs plays that primarily challenge the field within 10 yards. Maybe I’m wrong and maybe it’s Tannehill taking the check down and not pushing the ball down field. For what ever reason, we rely too often on a 14 play dink and dunk drive that are easily derailed by a penalty or a sack. For now I’m going to rely on what I can see and that’s Gase not being aggressive with his play design at all. Plus the timing of when he calls certain plays is maddening. I mean do we really have to run a draw on EVERY 2nd and 10+???

Unlike the Browns who are playing for a preseason trophy. I think we are playing it safe in hopes of dodging injuries. And why show your play book so that the Titans have like 4 weeks to prepare. If we are not 2&2 or better by week 4. Then we can grab our pitch forks and start some fires.

Some of you might want to check other pre season games, if not only to get some perspective... I mean sloppy football in pre-season is not a Dolphins thing only, its all around the league. Teams dont get the amount of practice time they used to and it shows. I only watch because I just love watching football, but even then, I stop watching once the starters come out. Im not trying to predict the final roster in any way and it leads to frustration because, well backups are backups for a reason and it makes for sloppy football...

Im probably in the minority here but I genuinely like what Im seeing from the starters... I do assume Gase isnt playing to win in pre season and calls the game to anwser very specific questions, I dont think he even looks at the scoreboard... If you think that they are trying to win football games in pre season, then I can see where you're coming from with your concerns... Its just a difference in perspective....

OTOH Harbaugh is definitely trying to win in pre-season, its very hard to make accurate assumptions when you've got 2 teams going against each other playing 2 different ball games...

Honestly preseason doesn’t sway my opinion on the team one bit. I think we’ll be a pretty good team but LB and CB attrition will be the death of the season. If anything preseason confirmed the latter. However, like I keep saying, Gase made the playoffs with Matt Moore, Donald Butler, Spencer Paysinger, Bacari Rambo and Michael Thomas playing significant snaps so you never know.

I never complain about officiating, because I don’t want to sound Ike a patriots fan, but I hope wake and Quinn get some holding calls. They were both mugged on at least one play apiece last night with no call. I get they want to protect the QB but when the T is beat and hooks the rusher it should be an easy call. Both that I saw were like that.
