I expected more energy from the team and crowd in the first half. Once we missed the deep ball to Wallace and then allowed the equalizing touchdown, it was as if the team accepted its likely fate and mostly went through the motions.

Jogging off the field to end the game was probably the high point of our second half. Philbin was really covering some turf with those strides.
 
I remember when the Dolphins lost to the patriots in the 2002 finale to miss the playoffs. Jason Taylor crouched down on the field for several minutes crying. You could see the pain.

No one on the Dolphins truly seemed pained at the end of this game for letting a huge opportunity slip by

Lovie Smith and Dungy are the only HCs I can recall that have that Prozac air about them that ever managed any success in the NFL.

Leslie Frazier was also of Philbin's type and he was just dumped.

Yeah, or catch a player coming off the field to "coach 'em up" after a mistake. Or even get in a players face after a dumb penalty/mistake. Heck, I remember when players would commit a mental error and exit the field 30 yards away from Shula, 'cause they knew he was looking them.
 
The thing is, we lost the last two games and it was pathetic and truly torturous to watch but there were PLENTY of games where we WON and we just barely won the games.

The defense could not make the stops and the offense could not take out the clock.

What stuck out most to me last week and especially this week after watching many of the other games,

they just did not look like they were trying very hard most of the time.

Besides Grimes and a handful of players most of them were walking around after plays. It seems like Hartline was probably playing injured last week maybe that's why he had such a horrible game.

The dolphins were consistently out coached and out played. The Oline did not block well and dline could not generate pressure or stop the runs up the middle as well as last year

I had a senior in HS tell me once he hated looking at the sidelines after he f-ed up. He said he could tell what was coming based on my expression and it scared the hell out of him.

I didn't know I did that and it made me happy.

This year someone on the phins made a huge f up early to mid season. I think it was pouncey with a personal foul, but i am not sure. As the guy walks off the field, Philbin started talking to him and the player just kept walking. He didn't apologize or make any gesture of recognition.

That means the player either doesn't respect Philbin, doesn't fear consequences, or literally never interacts with the coach and was waiting to hear it from his position coach.

It's bs. I would bench him until he apologized and point him out as an example of hurting the entire team with selfish actions. Nothing straightens someone out faster than the bench and embarrassment.

Side note-- I don't coach football, and I can see the adjustments that need to happen during the game and game to game. This has to be the slowest reacting staff ever. Be dynamic for gods sake.
 
They reflect their leader. Plain and simple.

I saw him talking to Tannehill and the QB coach in the Jets game. Selective memory is a heck of a thing.

Surely I'm not the only one that sees that graphic they've been playing on NFL network over and over when Philbin is going nuts after an official for a terrible call?

And finally, go back and watch our TD and tell me the team looked flat. That was the most jacked I've ever seen them.

The most disturbing thing to me was we had the worst QB performance from Tannehill, according to passer rating, since the Houston game-- the first game of his career.

Ugh..No..Thats just stupid....Those two are fiery guys...are you watching them in their sleep?
Fiery doesn't mean your throwing a tantrum 24/7.
 
If Ross doesn't Clean house, fans will start to lose interest and will move on, if we have great coaching, we make the playoffs.
