For a week 4 game in years! Normally we are hoping for a victory to avoid going 1-3 or 0-4, and already thinking about the offseason by week 5 or 6. If everybody on here is anything like me, they have been imagining what it feels like to come out of the gates like the Patriots and take control of the division early. Today we know what it feels like to be a Patriots fan, and it will make Sunday so much sweeter when we crush their souls!

I'm not assuming we'll win Sunday, but we have a damn good chance, and I won't let past history dampen my excitement. Alot of dolfans want to say we'll lose this weekend, and as a jaded fan myself I understand why (avoid the disappointment when the inevitable collapse happens)....but we've waited 10 years to be in a position like this early in the season, and I'm gonna let my homer flag fly! While I'm nervous as hell, I believe we will go into Foxboro and hand the Patriots their first 3 game losing streak in forever, and watch the Patriots foundation crumble, as they have no idea how to handle losing! Fins up!!!

It’s cool to be excited. The Dolphins haven’t been 3-0 and alone in first place in the division since 1998— a literal 20 years ago.

And I do think they have a good shot at 4-0, though it’s far from a sure thing. If they win on Sunday, it will be the first time they’ve gone undefeated in the first month of the season since 1995!

But anything can happen. Twenty years ago, the Dolphins were in first place at 3-0, and the Jets were two games behind at 1-3. The Jets, however, swept the Dolphins, finished at 12-4, and got to the AFC championship. The Dolphins finished two games behind them, and scraped by the Bills in the wildcard game before the Broncos slaughtered them in the divisional round.

I hear ya on all counts...and it's so easy as a fan of this team for the past 20 years to get sucked into the pessimism of "we've been here before and faltered", but I have a completely different feeling with this team. I have a feeling we are on the cusp of something special...maybe not Super Bowl Champion special, but success we haven't enjoyed since the Marino era. I'm going to enjoy it like the homer I am!

Well to be fair we've had years before when we said that "this team feels different" only to find out they were the same old Dolphins and hence why so many people are skeptic at this time. Win on Sunday by playing better than the pats up there and many fans will jump in.

I've said same old dolphins already once for sure in week 2, boy was i wrong. 2nd half of the game is becoming our strength, that's a win for the coaching staff with the adjustments they make. Injuries suck for every team, i hope ours slim down a bit. A lead at halftime would be a huge help, bud lights for everyone!

As a fan of this team since 1984, I completely understand this, but I wanted to start a thread that didn't have the "we are 3-0......but" feel to it. This is exciting times...we need to enjoy it!

I'd much rather have an Autumnal mead!

So excited and I do think we can win but I can't help feeling that we'll get blown out and put back into reality.
I just don't see that. The Dolphins are really confident right now. They are stupid fast. They're vibing and feeling themselves. Tannehill has looked good and this is his 4th game and he's got a strong supporting cast. I think they're looking to slap NE around in front of the country. I think they wanna lay claim to the east. And they know this is the perfect time to doit.

I absolutely want to win, and I absolutely think we can (and will) win.

However, contrary to popular belief, if we go up there and lose, it is not the end of the world.

I think the Pats are 50-1 against AFC East teams at home when Brady starts.

Go up there, play well, fight hard, and try to win in an exceptionally difficult place.

Win and we're 4 - 0 and jubilant. Lose and we're 3 - 1, still leading the division, and kick their a$$ down here later in the season.

The goal is the same. Win the division.

Amen....I think this team is hungry, and they have a comradery I haven't seen since I started watching this team. They want to win for each other....and that's a powerful thing!

And its also got the feel of it being perfect timing. 4 games in, offense has had time to gell pretty good. Tannehill has had time to shake the rust. Defense has had gell time. I think the team is ready and chomping at the bit.

I'm cautiously optimistic. We haven't won in Foxboro since 2008 and yeah, streaks are meant to be broken, but I think with the Patriots in a must win situation, they will play their best game of the year. It's going to be tough getting a W up there!
