Their stadium is called "Paul Brown Stadium" instead of "P & G stadium" or something, like ours should be put back to Joe Robbie :yell:

I'm guessing Paul Brown is/was the owner at one time of the Bengals? Once a company offers them money for the naming rights then it won't be called Paul Brown stadium anymore. That's the only reason Joe Robbie got changed, all about the $$$.

Am I getting that old that an 18 year old does not know who Paul Brown is???

I guess you are. Are you surprised I don't know who he is? Instead of that remark you could have told me who he was.

PAUL BROWN
Coach
Cleveland Browns (AAFC, 1946-49; NFL, 1950-62)
Miami (Ohio)
Enshrined in 1967

Brown distinguished himself as an exceptionally successful coach at all levels of football. Brown organized the Browns in the AAFC in 1946, building the great Browns' dynasty with a career record of 167-53-8 from 1946-62, including four AAFC titles and three NFL crowns. Brown had just one losing season in 17 years. Brown's .759 career winning percentage with the Browns is the best in team history. Brown was known as a revolutionary innovator with many coaching firsts to his credit. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame before he began his tenure as coach and owner of the Cincinnati Bengals. Brown was born on Sept. 7, 1908 in Norwalk, Ohio. He died on Aug. 5, 1991 at the age of 82.

must not be a fan of NFL films

yeah I miss having stadiums named after actual people instead of companies.

The Pro Player company is long gone yet nobody has paid to have their name on our stadium. I know DHL has their logo plastered everywhere, but I don't think they've bought the rights. Knowing our luck Joe Robbie will now be caled Tampax Stadium. :shakeno:

I was at the last game Miami played in Cin. PBS is a nice place to watch a game. Decent fans (losing period) lots o' Phin Fans.

"Mike Brown must go" buttons given out on every corner then, lol.

Hey NJFINSFAN1 ----I MTB as well. A bunuch of buddies rode the 24hrs @ Mooch. Did you go?

Pro Player signed a 10 year deal which will expire in 2006 I believe. Pro Player is still active in Backruptcy court, so all contracts they had are frozen until the backruptcy thing is settled. DHL has signed a contract to advertise there, but it is getting held up by the FedEx Orange Bowl, which has a contract with the stadium. It would be kind of funny wouldn't if it was the FedEx Orange Bowl at DHL stadium. After the Pro Player backruptcy thing, and DHL and the Orange Bowl agreeing on a cover up during that week, it will be DHL stadium.

How'd you get tickets to the game? Ah, I pulled some strings.

Thanks to Larry the Cable Guy for making that joke possible.
