When has there been a more satisfying victory than this one? Not only did the Fins win the division, they did it in the Jets' house in a win or go home game, and by winning...eliminated the Patriots from the playoffs.

They also proved EVERYONE wrong, including most of US. I actually heard Berman say "Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins."

So. Where does this rank? Better than anything during the Fiedler era, for certain. Better than much of Marino's latter years.

For me, this is the best feeling as a Dolphins fan that I've had in at least 10-15 years.

Now please excuse me as I write a civilized yet thorn-laden e-mail to Bill Simmons.

I honestly cant remember a bigger win. Im sure there is one, but it was a LONG time ago. This is sweeter than our last playoff win. This is WINNING THE DIVISION TITLE in NY vs. THE JETS!!!!!

The best I have felt since the 2000 season when we beat the Patriots in Week 17 to win our last Division championship.

Agree!!! " This is WINNING THE DIVISION TITLE in NY vs. THE JETS!!!!!" and getting the Pats out of the playoff picture!!! :sidelol:

knocking out the Jets AND Pats in one game is DISGUSTINGLY SWEET!!! Driving Lord Favre into retirement would be the icing on the cake!

Fake Spike, without a doubt.

Now, the Miracle at the Meadowlands seems like a million miles away...

I just sent my best friend's wife (a huge Patsies fan) an e-mail...all caps:

"HEY, NEW ENGLAND! TIME TO PAY YOUR BAD KARMA TAX! ENJOY YOUR VACATION!"

This was the sweetest win since the improbable come-from-behind victory against the Raiders in the 2000 regular season, which was sealed by a crazy touchdown scramble by Jay Fiedler.

That or the playoff win against the Bills the year before, when Trace Armstrong sacked Doug Flutie to seal the win.

The Miami vs Indy playoff game victory in overtime off a long Lamar Smith run comes to mind. What was that, like 2000. That was an exciting win.

It's sent in a form from ESPN's Page 2...at the top of his columns.

Here's what I sent:

TO: Bill Simmons, Patriots Fan, a.k.a. Goldman Sachs Employee

FROM: Chip Turner, Dolphins Fan, a.k.a. Lehman Brothers
Custodian

RE: Comparing Football Teams to Financial Institutions

Mr. Simmons:

In your September 19, 2008 column, you made the following remark:

“As the trash-talking e-mails from Dolphins fans came pouring in Sunday, I laughed the same way someone from Goldman Sachs would laugh after getting a ball-busting e-mail from one of the custodians at Lehman Brothers. Please keep them coming.”

As an optimist, I took solace in your kind words. We Dolphins fans have been through tough times as of late, and can indeed relate to a bankruptcy, as our team recently experienced a complete restructuring, during which we evaluated our losses and started fresh, as it were.

As a Patriots fan, you can certainly attest to being one of the more successful organizations in your industry, much like Goldman Sachs. Even in the face of adversity, your organization weathered turmoil this year, and did an admirable job of keeping its head above water.

It is with great humility and admiration that our custodial staff informs you that we feel your hard work should not go unrewarded. We have managed to arrange for an early vacation for you, effective immediately. Please accept our best wishes, and we look forward to seeing your Senior Managing Partner, Mr. Brady, in 2010.

As for the Custodial Department here at Lehman Brothers, we have to get back to work next week.

This goes way back. I rank it in my two best games. AFC Championship vs Steelers being one of the two. I live in NE and I will go to work tomorrow with a smile on my face! Go Phins!

SOOOO SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!

Best win since our only one of last year. I was there and it was like we won the Super Bowl. This one feels a lot better though, especially after that.

The FLutie Flakes one was really sweet. The win over Indy in the P/Os when Smith went for 229 was VERY great...This one is up there.
