If you had shown me the yardage stats for this game without showing me the score, I would have thought the Dolphins killed the Bills.

..................C/ATT....YDS....AVG
J. Losman.....11/18.......83.....3.7
D. Culpepper..23/32.....250.....7.8

............CAR.....YDS....AVG
Bills.........32......105.....3.3
Dolphins...20.......92......4.6

What happened here? The Bills shouldn't even be in the NFL with those stats, but still win the game. The Dolphins have nearly 350 total yards and end up with 6 points, Colts-like yardage with Texans-like points.

Very simple ... Daunte played bush league football for the first three and a half quarters by only throwing the ball on short dump routes to the running backs and losman threw the ball down field and made the phins secondary make mistakes for him. It's not as misleading if you look at each teams penalties and yardage from penalties. Fact is that I don't wanna hear people on hear saying how Ronnie is nothing more than a back up in the NFL because he flat out carried Cpep for most of the game to "pad his stats". I'd hate to say it but I'm beginning to see why Daunte has one of the highest completion percentages in NFL history ... He looks for the simple routes and allows the reciever/RB do the work. Throw the damn ball down field and HIT our recievers rather than over/under/side throwing them. I don't care about what kind of seasons he's had in the past ... I don't care what he has out there for a recieving corp ... To me Cpep is nothing more than an unproven rookie at this point until he can spark a charge in the offense and show he can take control. I will give him some slack though because the O-line was horrible and didn't give him much time at many points in the game but he made quite a few bonehead calls himself. This team needs to get some heart and QUICK. :fire:

How many sacks, how many fumbles/int, how bout flags, 3rd down conversion %, ball possesion?, ........

what do you mean your beginning to see why daunte has one of the highest passing percentages in nfl history? how can you compare what hes doing now to what he did in minnesota? are you assuming he is playing the same? hes injured now, so not mibile yet, and isnt throwing the ball downfield due to bad oline, recievers not getting open and bad play calling. look it up. culpeppers average passes throughout his career, and the bulk of his pass percentage, is passes longer than ten yards down the field. what you are seeing in these two games is nothing compared to what he did in minnesota

I guess that's my point, all these little things are adding up and killing an otherwise good team. Most of the Dolphins problems aren't necessarily hard to fix. Don't tell me its hard to not commit dumb defensive penalties on 3rd down and not throw interceptions directly to a defender in the redzone.

yeah, but he throws the most beautiful swing pass you'll ever see

Look at the stats of the game we played against San Diego last year. That was really misleading statswise.

Nothing that i mentioned can be considered "little things" The stats dont make this game look good for us. Only the ones you provided do.

He is mentally injured. At this point in time, he is bad apples.
Like it or not the drill will be to "bring Culpepperback his confidence" rather than "him leading this team". And that will affect the proper play calling as well. But I am hoping Saban make him throw more passes over 10 yards so he can either get it, or not. Its been a long time since the confidence of having a Marino was around was around this club. It has also been a long time since the confidence of a Shula was around.

Two more "should wins" for a good team around the corner. We will see if they can get it together. And it does start at the top, no question.

I consider them "little" because a pro that has played football for most of his life should know better. A team can win with a few of these problems, but not all of them. Fix just one of those things and the Dolphins win the game.

This team isn't losing because of a lack of talent, its because they are being stupid.

dauntee is a proven loser and gets his stats in garbage time.
