the new head coach should be...

Please.. I could not bare looking at Shanarat's ugly mug every sunday.. Give me some new blood.. Romeo Crennel please.

I agree skape. I do not want Shanahan.

As much as I HATE Wanny, I think it is a bit early to be asking for his head this season. If you go by his tenure here, yeah then maybe we can call for his head. But the fact is he has the contract for two years... lets at least see if he can adapt for this year. Or at least go more than one game...

Do we need another defensive minded coach in Crennel? Personally, I agree that it is too early to be thinking new head coach. Besdies, something tells me Mike Shananhan won't be leaving Denver anytime soon.

Mike shanahan has a wierd twitch, plus hes so damn tan that if he came to miami he may actually turn into charcoal. I'll pass although i would like his offensive mind and draft abilities

Please...Shanahan is the most overrated piece of human excrement to walk an NFL sideline. What has he done since Horseface retired? One maybe two playoff appearances with first round exits. Not much better than Wannstache really. Worst of all would be having to contend with that lazy/glass/mutant eye of his that always seems to be looking at me.

Forget those guys..... Tressman will fit there perfect I think.... One year experience with the players.... and you know he can win so why not....

Miami should try to get Mike shanahan from the Denver Broncos. He is an excellent head coach.

Mike Shanahan has two play-off games (no division titles), both lopsided losses, in the 5 years since Elway retired.

Dave Wannstedt has 3 play-off games (1 division title), 1 win and two blowout losses, in the 4 years since Marino retired.

Looks pretty similar to me. Shanahan needs to win at least one play-off game post-Elway before I would consider him an upgrade over Wanny.

Did someone actually mention Trestman as a potential head coaching candidate? This guy is a terrible offensive coordinator. What makes anyone think he can be a good head coach?

I also don't see the infatuation some have with Charlie Weiss and Romeo Crennell.

Coaches that I prefer over them are:

Mike Heimerdinger/Titans
Brad Childress/Eagles
Maurice Carthon/Cowboys

If we're gonna talk about getting someone already a head coach in the NFL, why not think Dick Vermeil? He seems like a class act.
