The New Randy Moss??

Jay was tough, but that doesn´t make any good if he ca throw the ball two yards into the wind (Remember a pass to Konrad in Buffalo )Man it was a screen pass and Jay didnt have the arm

I could care less if we have a bad tackling QB. Who cares ?
there's a difference betwwen a qb who can't tackle and one who isn't willing to.

Could it be that one of the reasons why FH was voted as the best FIN MB is because fans of other teams are welcome to post here, annoying or not? If our presence annoys people, that's what the ignore feature is for.

There' wasn't a tougher player in your team than Fiedler. He never gave up. I remember Feeley running by Pat Williams when AJ threw that pick to him and was returning it for a Td. Pat was walking a tightrope on the sideline and all AJ had to do was use his arm (not tackle) to nudge Pat and Pat would've been out of bounds. I remember finfans here b!tching about feeley giving up on that.I'm sure Fiedler would've done something.

If toughness warrants a chance, then Saban would've kept Fiedler, but that isn't the case ,was it?

Nobody's presence is annoying. Everyone is welcome. What's irritating is when a thread is started and posters have nothing but negative comments to offer which always shifts the tread into a debate or argument. Of course, debate comes with the message board territory. But, sometimes a thread starter is just out to seek conversation not debate with his or her fellow finfans. Imo fans from other teams should either refrain from posting in that particular thread or join the conversation without posting the cold truths and negative comments.

I have given the respect to those who started threads that requested"for finfans only" . Negative or not, I can and will respond if no such request is made. If all we post is negative so be it. BTW, I usually respond when the bills are mentioned or to bring those rose colored finfans back to earth , like this thread :D.

That's what I said, It has nothing to do with what team he roots for. Everyone is welcome on this board. Including people like me.

That post was unnecessary, This was a settled matter.

I don´t think CC is the next Moss. IMO he has the vertical ability but doesn´t have the hands, I´ve seen him drop one too many easy passes on out patterns (granted they were fluttering Fielder lobs). You´d never see players like Moss, Owens, Harrison et al do that.
Hopefully we´ll be able to release Chambers on a lot of deep routes this year, and leave more of the short stuff to Booker and Boston. If it works out, CC could start to compare with Moss on the deep stuff.

Well I don't know about that, if you've ever seen the 49ers and Packers game with Steve Young vs Brett Favre, you would see that Terrell Owens was dropping ridiculously easy passes left and right. He finally made a great catch at the end of the game to win, but I dropped tons of passes that were right on the numbers, and one drop was a gimme TD if he didn't drop it, the 49ers ended up having to kick a field goal instead after that

First off, Linehan didn't make Moss into ANYTHING........if anything, Moss made Linehan look like a brilliant coordinator. Moss was there before Linehan and was dominating. Linehan had little to no effect on Randy's production. Not a knock on Linehan, I still think he's a solid coordinator and that he had a big part in Daunte's developement.

Second - As much as I respect Culpepper's ability (he's unquestionabley one of the top-5 QB's in the league and a case can be made that he's 2nd best).......Don't use the "what would Randy have done with Fiedler" arguments.....because the answer is simple....Randy would have made Jay look very good.

Just like he has with Randall Cunningham, Jeff George, Todd Bauman, and Gus Frerotte. Hell, in 1998, Randy's rookie year, Jay actually threw seven passes for the Vikings and only threw 1 INT!! Not too bad for Jay! Imagine he had time to get in rhythm!!
