Thank you and I don't buy the idea that there is nothing the NFL can do. If the integrity of the sport is threatened the NFL MUST DO SOMETHING.
 
I was in the hotel that night. The alarm went off at about 3:15 and I knew exactly what was going on but we left the room anyway and headed down to the lobby and outside. I've been to a few Patriot games and the same thing happened.
I saw no players outside - I don't think they even got out of bed. I was back in bed about 45 minutes later.

No way this alarm had any effect on the players. We had no offence creativity - it's mind blowing. Maybe the alarm keep Sherman up the rest of the night - we would have been better off if he slept in and missed the team bus.
 
The mindset that nothing can be done is ludicrous. The dolphins have a security detail. They could have hired a few mall cops to monitor each floor and the lobby. Obviously no one saw this coming. In big games away in arm pit cities like Buffalo, they might want to take extra steps. I am sure the players rest getting disrupted did help the Bills. The players were playing with low spark. The Bills were beating us off the snaps (go or no-go aside). Combine that with a 40 degree rain at the beginning of the game and it is easy to see why the players looked flat. On top of all that is Mike Shermin. I doubt the lack of sleep affected him. He is always asleep.

You can't possibly think the NFL can punish a team (which is a business), an NFL BILLIONAIRE owner, based on the independent action/s of some stupid fans - fans that don't work for the organization in any way shape or form? If Goodell tried to penalize a team based on some knucklehead fans actions at a private hotel, acting on their own, do you know the resulting lawsuit would be so goddamn fast that Goodell and the rest of his cronies would get whiplash from the wake?

You're not really suggesting that the NFL has the authority to police citizens on private property that is no way affiliated, owned, or operated by the NFL or any of its affiliates are you?
 
The NFL needs to investigate a hotel? Sorry but even in the slim event that what you are insinuating is true, the NFL has no business and no right and no authority at all to investigate anything that is not NFL or team related. And a hotel is not NFL or team related.

Not sure why people have to to look elsewhere for excuses. The team lost because they S.U.C.K.E.D. case and point. It isnt the Buffalo's fans fault, it isnt the weathers fault, it isnt the hotels fault, it isnt my fault and it isnt gods fault. It is Miami's fault and nothing else. They blew it on their own

Even IF NFL security could track down the person that pulled the alarm.....Even IF....
I could just imagine what my reaction as a private citizen would be to someone
identifying themselves as "NFL Security" would be. The words "Go......Perhaps "****"
and "Yourself" would probably all come up and various points.

Those are all penalties for institutional offenses by employees of said organization
or their agents. A private citizen, acting on his own accord would not qualify for
NFL sanctions. As has been pointed out, that would be grounds for a lawsuit at the
very least.

On another level, Goodell would never penalize a team for something like that, and rightly so.
 
Those tweets are quite revealing. Obviously some of the staff at the hotel were in on the plan. If so, charges could be brought against someone. The Fins should follow up with an attorney.
There is nothing the league can do unless it somehow gets back to the Buffalo Bills. If someone got paid by a player or coaches for example.
It might be worth looking into to prevent a tragic accident. What if someone(other guests in the hotel) got hurt during this prank? I do not think it should be put aside.

Or it could be that a couple of service industry employees could be joking around by
alluding to them having something to do with it when, in fact they didn't.
 
I'm about 99.9% sure that this will never be investigated by the NFL and I'm about 99.8% sure that if the Dolphins used it as an excuse for why they stunk so bad on Sunday, that they should have their collective heads examined.

Now let's get back into it and destroy the Jets!!!!
 
Lol this fire alarm stuff is nothing new. Lets pitch a fit like babies and hope the league overturns the 19-0 debacle
