I'll tell you it was really hard having to route for the Jets today, ugh it made me sick, but we need the division to be as close as possible. As a result though, things are looking GREAT for the Dolphins in the following weeks if the Colts pull this one out tonight we are only a few hours from:

NE 5-3
Buf 5-3
NYJ 5-3
MIA 4-4

The Seahawks are 2-6 and we've got them home next week!

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!
If we somehow don't manage to blow this easy win next week, the Rams are at Jets however the Bills are at New England one of them HAS to lose! :D

So even though the Bills or Pats are guaranteed a win next week, one is also guaranteed a loss , if the Jets by some miracle lose to the Rams as early as next week we could be looking at:

NE either 6-3 or 5-4
BUF either 6-3 or 5-4
NYJ 5-4
MIA 5-4

A THREE WAY TIE FOR SECOND IN THE DIVISION!!!!

but wait, it gets better

the following week the Jets have the Titans, a win-win for us. If they beat the Titans we pop the champagne, if the Titans beat them (which is much more likely) we can easily surpass them in the standings, because we play the Raiders! Same week Pats and Jets play each other and same situation one HAS to lose! The Bills have the Browns which is no good for us as far as the numbers go, but 2 weeks from now we could be looking at this:

BUF 7-3
MIA 6-4
NYJ 5-5
NE 5-5

While looking this far in to the future may be a little wishful thinking on my part, this really isn't unreasonable if you look at the match ups this season, we could actually be in second place only one game removed from the top of the division, and THE BEST PART....our schedule just keeps getting easier as the weeks go on, between bad teams, and division rivals (which would only help our standings) we could be at the top of the division within the next 3 weeks!!!!

PS: Don't dare try and land my ballon of positivity, WE ARE GOING ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!! :woot:

Please don't blast me, but I hope you wouldn't be happy if the Titans lost just to keep the undefeated streak when a Titans win would really help us in our quest of NOW to reach the playoffs.

Really pisses me off about that Houston game now.

wow, its been a while since we've done some real scoreboard/standings watches around here. deep down, i dont think anyone realistically ever expected we had a shot even in 2005, after the 3-7 start.

Me to brother. I kept finding myself wanting the Bills to pound it down the Jets throat but then I would catch myself and remember the Bills needed to lose. That was just revolting having to watch the Jets win and not be pissed!!

What's the old saying? One game at a time. I just don't want to put the carriage before the horse. We are a good team and as happy as I am, I think we are headed in the right direction but we are still on shakey ground in my opinion. I just hope the team will focus on the team at hand. (Lots of clitches in there)

I'm not going to take anything for granted yet. The Raiders beat the Jets. As far as the Seahawks go, it seems like an easy win, but we all know thats far from the case. As of now, we just need to focus on winning, and let the other teams worry about their schedule for the time being......

FUnny you wrote this because I was just looking at the schedules and thought almost the exact same thing..except I think that the Jills seem to be off the high horse and am thinking Cleveland can take them down..they have more talent imo! Maybe in 3 weeks we will be on top??

Like my Granpa used to say...dont count the chicks before they hatch...

Oh I would way rather win here and now, I was just making some future lemonade in the event we get handed some lemons. I was just saying that ones all good no matter how you look at it.

As a side note, I'm loving all the mutual positivity in here, and not a bunch of trolls telling me we can't do this because for the first time in years I truly believe we can and WILL! :) GO PHINS!!!!!

While I'm excited for the opportunity that the Phins can creep up to the top with certain match-ups, I'm more interested in the fact that the more the Phins win, that one of their games later in the season has a better chance to get flexed to Sunday night which would be amazing.

In all honesty, let's enjoy another win and then focus on Seattle next weekend. After that game, we'll see where we're at

honestly, here's how I see it:

Bills lose to Pats, but beat Browns and Chiefs.....putting them at 7-4
Pats lose to Fins, but beat Bills and Jets....putting them at 7-4 (if they lose tonight)
Jets lose to Pats and Titans, beat Rams....putting them at 6-5
Fins beat Seahawks, Raiders, and Pats....putting us at 7-4

Fins 7-4
Pats 7-4
Bills 7-4
Jets 6-5

We've already beat the Bills and will have 2 wins over the Pats. This is if we can win the next 3 like we should. I really think the Fins can beat NE in MIA.

It is feasible that we could be 8-4 over next few games. I think if we hit that mark we have a real good shot at the playoffs.

Coincidently, Bill Parcells might imediately be inducted in the Hall of Fame if that happens.
