It seems like for the last three years we continue to talk about the O line and how it needs to be improved in the offseason.

We always say that come next years draft and FA period we will address the LT or C positions. Well guess what we never do.

Next year we should go and get best C available via FA. Also an awesome LG in FA. LT should be had through the draft. Leaving Hadnot and Carey as the only starters this year making the starting lineup next year.

With Ronnie and Ricky behind a excellent O line we should be explosive on Offense. Remember when Jay had Ricky getting 1800 yards he even looked good.

I would like to improve the O line so much that next year ESPN will say that Miami has the best O line in football. If that happens then we will be on our way to dominant Offensive football. If not we will be looking at 3rd and long for many years to come.

I think both the LT and the C have to come from the draft and that if this team is looking for a G in free agency, it will be RG. I'd love to see this line next year on opening day:

LT: 1st rounder
LG: James
C: 2nd/3rd rounder
RG: Free agent
RT: Carey/McIntosh

imo, the top free agent c will be lecharles bentley of the saints, probably a probowler in the next 2-3 years. the top lg should be steve hutchinson from the seahawks, already a probowler. these two and cb nate clements of the bills would be an outstanding f.a. haul next year. as for the lt position, i'm still hoping for eric winton or d'brickashaw ferguson in the first round. heck for that matter i would'nt mind if tackle andrew whitworth was there in the 2nd round so he could move to rt for us. then let carey and hadnot fight it out at rg.

LOL, that's a lot of overhaul.

It just tells you how bad of shape our OL is in right now.

This line has been at a decline for more than three years.

How about when Wanny cut Kevin Donnelly to be replaced by Chris Perry - who was another Bears reject? Of all the teams in the NFL, why would we transition our Dolphins into the hapless Bears of the 1990's / today?

Donnelly helped the Panthers get to the Super Bowl...

Bonehead move after bonehead move. Jimmy Johnson was the beginning of the break-up of our line. He felt no regard for Lineman. In fact, Jeff Dellenbach helped the Packers go to the Super Bowl after JJ thought he wasn't necessary.

It will be a while before we get it right.

Either way - our line is much improved since last year. Last year was pitiful. Our line still has a loooong way to go - but it is better than last season.

longer than the last three years, ever since 2000, in 2001 it became apparent that this line couldn't play, and only the play of a mobile QB and a elite running back made it look decent, and even then our line didn't do its job when it counted.

Ummmm Donnelly and Dellenbach........ Dreaming of past glory..... Even Webb and Sims weren't as dominant as the line of the fins from '82-'84. It seems like this line has been going downhill since Dwight was lost.

The bright side is now we have a line coach who can get the most from what he has. I think we've hit botton and on our way back up!

I'd keep Carey / Jones / Hadnot. The rest need to be replaced....

Both OT positions suck, McKinney sucks as a center, what else is there....

Oh, our depth sucks as well...

PHINZ RULE!!!

I think OL needs time and I wouldn´t spend that much on OL, cause DT, LB (after Seau Retires) and CB NEED some help.

In my opinion we NEED to get rid of Seth and if we somehow get an elite C like Bentley via FA, and draft a LT on the first round, that would do it. Our OL should be fine like this:

LT First Rounder
LG James
C Bentley (FA from NO)
RG Hadnot
RT Carey

Then we should draft DT, CB, LB, WR, TE.

Remember there are three things needed to WIN:
1. RUN (RONNIE BROWN = OK, OL = NEED HELP)
2. STOP THE RUN (DT = OLD AND NOT DOMINATING, LB´s = SEAU Replacement needed)
3. CUT ERRORS AND PENALTIES (SABAN = OK, PLAYERS = NOT OK) but this is going to be fixed soon!
I think Srydona Mitchell and Poole will give us at least one solid starting CB next year, Daniels should improve and Howard is gone! Maybe Madison for cap reasons.
DT NEEDS HELP, Zgonina and Holliday are not solid and Traylor is OLD, after that we have Many and Vickerson????? come on! WE NEED A SOLID DT.
I could live with a FA LB replacing Seau.
Finally we must play Sage or/and Cleo at some point, because we need to verify our QB situation for next year.
