Ginn has a seriously reduced role today and the offense looks the worst it has all season.... coincidence? I'm sure a lot of you will say it is but I'd disagree. Ginn whether he makes plays or not Is a factor on offense. Defenses just have to respect his speed and it backs off the defense whether you realize it or not. With Hartline and Camarillo or Bess in the game there isn't a team in the NFL who is going to respect our passing game and they're just going to load up against the run very early and very often. The sad part is.... it's a perfect strategy, I wouldn't be scared of a long score with any of Miami's WR's in the game not named Ginn either.

A few side notes:
-Coaching is losing us games and will lose us more. How do you not realize Ginn was the best option at KR? Especially with how bad Cobbs was. Gibril Wilson staying at FS??? No Cam Wake??? Also the stupid timeouts, going for two for no apparent reason. Horrible playcalling. Inability to adjust during a game. Putting bad matchups on the field. The list goes on....
-Fasano is useless, I'm almost starting to think Haynos would be a better option(Boy do I miss David Martin though)
-If the team insists on using this 1 WR power sets so often then a stud WR should without a doubt be #1 priority in the offseason. Show the team you're going to run and they will stop it, then if you do pass... I'm sorry but Bess, Cam, or Hartline just aren't going to beat opposing teams #1 cb's very often and they're hardly ever going to beat them with safety help.(Either that or a pro bowl caliber TE since they don't want to put WR's on the field)

Yea offense was pretty bad...not sure if it was because Ginn was not in there..Its not like we did not run the ball when he was not in there....We really got out muscled today tho...

The Dolphins seem to always be the exception to the rule...

We dominate time and we lose to the Colts....We do almost everything right against the Saints we lose...

Jets dominate TOP...they run all over we almost do nothing ....

How does it feel?

3 plays change the whole game..

2 Ko returns

Fumble Return

GOTTA LOVE IT!

that...

or the fact that by scoring on 2 kickoffs, it takes away our offensive posessions.

The Oline was not very good today. Its not that they were bad but the Jets were lookin to punk us all day. They stuffed every gap and quickly.

I think the Jet's D just played well. Some were Henne's fault, some were the O-line. The running game was pretty not existant and I think we might of ran it better out of the base formation today. Ricky looked good reliable anyway.

we shoulda thrown a screen pass everytime we saw them bringin in an all out blitz, seriously, everytime they were in that situation Henne recognized it and called an autable, and it was not a screen pass, the TE and HB would stay to pick up defenders, it makes sense to have as many blockers as possible, but seriously, it doesn't work out very well

I agree completely. Like it or not Ginn makes the defenses respect the deep threat. He also opens up the game for the other receivers by taking the safety help. He makes us alot less one dimensional, and that is a major problem we have.

I agree that Ginn's speed influences defensive alignments, but the Saints played 9 in the box during the second half last week. Ginn was on the field. Henne has not shown he can handle that much pressure from an alignment that can stop the run (9 in the box). I am confident that Ginn's performance today was the result of playing fewer offensive snaps. He was not this sharp when he was playing more snaps.

That OL also suffers from Ginn not being in there because like I said opposing teams load the box and bring more people than they can block. Believe it or not Ginn DOES draw double teams, I don't think any of our other WR's do on a consistent basis.

Did you not notice Hartline beating the CB and FS on a deep throw early in the game? This was when Ginn was on the sideline. We can still make teams respect our deep pass without Ginn on the field.

I agree and was going to post something similiar. I'm sorry but to me it's almost a joke to send one WR out into a pattern and have it be Cam or Bess. We need to live and die with Ginn in 2009, he opens everything up with that speed.

OK, but we ran many 1 WR sets with Bess or Cam. Sorry but no team will respect that.

exactly.. I think our oline had a terrible day. Henne didn't have much time and we couldn't establish the run.
