The Offensive Line

oh yeah, like that is what stopped you. So you mean to say that Buffalo enjoyed having Miami just 10 points behind all the way to the 4th quarter. You're absurd, and a homer just trying to put your team on an undeserved pedestal. You are not that great, and time will show that. You didn't need to score 30 points, but the fact we had more time of possesion than you even though you had 6 take aways shows how inferior you are. You were lucky Lucas played bad, and your luck will run out soon. You don't get 6 take aways and not win the time of possesion stat, that is just sad. A god team demolishes the other team when they get 6 turn overs. As an example, look at what Miami did to NY Jets. 4 take aways, 32 min TOP, end score 30-3. Period point blank, you got lucky we didn't have just 4 turnovers cause those last two could've been the difference.

The O line wasn't horrible, but I think we can say they didn't win thier matchup. The line this year has been average. At times they make holes and protect, but many times they are not. I expect us to look to upgrade at center and right guard next year.

Ray screwed up plenty, but he has Pat williams face mask permanently imprinted on his chest.

On the reverse, when Ray got thrown on his shoulder, it looked like it all fell apart. Not only did the momentum which was going our way take a huge swing back to Buff. Ray was dinged after that. Buffalo hunkered down and made plays, and we didn't make any plays after that. We wasted great field position and got our butts handed to us. I believe that will prove to be our ugliest game of the year. We have to break their serve when we play them in Buff.
he was hurt and not ready for that pounding - that play changed the whole game IMO. If we are up 10-0 after that, we would have probably won a close game.

QB Ray Lucas had more than his ego wounded in the aftermath of his four-interception performance against Buffalo on Sunday. Lucas was walking around with a limp from a hip pointer and had a very sore left shoulder after suffering a ''burner'' in the shoulder in the first quarter.

Ray Lucas made the o-line look bad. There were some bad plays for the o-line (the first fumble by Lucas on the reverse) was blown because of a missed blocking assignment. But the pass protection was pretty good. Lucas did a lot of double-clutching and pumping causing him to be pressured by the Bills. Lucas was too indecisive when he is playing in a scheme where he has to make a quick decision on where to throw the ball. He was trying to look like a pocket passer when he should have been playing to his own strenght. As soon as he double-pumped, he should've tucked the ball and ran for the first-down marker.

I believe he'll settle down and play much better in two weeks. But if he doesn't play any better, we'll be seeing Sage very soon.

Maybe there should have been more plays where he rolled out. It seems like there were plays in past with Jay rolling out.

The line was very inconsistent on Sunday. The middle three(Nails, Ruddy,Perry) seemed to lose too many battles on running plays, and were inconsistent on passing plays. The tackles generally did good on running plays, but Spriggs seemed to have trouble on pass protection.

It all came from the LB's firing off. They didn't respect the passing game and were able to pin their ears back, if Ray had been able to connect with his recievers they would have been forced to play back and the O-Line would have been able to handle buisiness better.

Again, we didn't NEED to put up 30 pts

no, more like bledsoe read the defense and what he read was that they were all blanketed in the second half. thats why he was running aout of bounds, and dumping the ball off outside the tackles. he didnt want to throw the ball so they ran the ball out of passing sets. not to hard to figure out. bledsoe didnt want to throw an INT and give Miami a chance to get back in it. cus that is what would have happend.
