Vernon Carey gave up a tackle for loss. He yielded a pass pressure. He was
flagged for one false start. And his run blocking produced about as many holes
as you produced. The Dolphins cut Carey's salary to $2.5 million for this season
and basically wiped out the final three years of the six-year deal he signed
before the 2009 season. He will be a free agent after this year.

He will be unemployed if he doesn't play better than this showing.
I suppose the Dolphins could go out and try to add someone. Shaun
O'Hara, or Dallas retreads Leonard Davis or Andre Gurode if he's dumped by the
Cowboys.

yes..the play of the O-Line is offensive...the o-line is sole reason Sparano should get the Ax imo...it's what he was supposed to be good at....pfft..

so i dont want to hear about we shouldnt be drafting any OL in first round right? lol i am going to love next years draft!

Everyone hates drafting OL, but it's particularly annoying when they whiff on so many picks.

We already have three 1st rounders. We need better efficiency with the rest of the draft picks. I could almost gaurantee next years 1st round pick will not be an o-line if TS doesn't fix this one this year, because I doubt the next HC will be an o-line guru.

I don't neccessarily disagree with your post in the thread you started. I just know Columbo has to go and we need someone different at G or T or both.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner.

Believe it or not, offensive lines can be fixed by something other then first round picks. In fact, id go so far as to say if you have 3 first round picks and the line is still broken(not disappointing, not lacking, broken), then its a problem with coaching.
You simply dont see teams(and dont see teams needing) to wait 5 years before drafting positions other then lineman before contending.

They say the right side is built for strength? Why cant our Rb's ever see anything other than opposing jerseys when they get the ball?

I just stuck my head in here briefly when the lockout ended, but left immediately after I heard tons of the same bitching and moaning I've grown accustomed to. I guess I'm back to stay now. ;) Two questions since I'm seriously out of the loop.
1) Didn't Carey play a lot better the last few years at tackle, than he's playing at guard?
2) Where the hell is Jake Long?
