The offensive problems are not Henne

dude get real... he threw the ****ing ball all over the patriots. changing plays, reading defenses, hitting open receivers... the dude is not a probowler but he deserves more credit than you are giving him.

He played good against the Pats, but you cant ignore that we were playing from behind all game and our WR's had a huge cushion. Not to mention they had been preparing for the game for weeks. My problem with Henne is when he has to improvise and do something thats not scripted. Can you remember when Henne marched the team down the field and got us a score at the end of a half or to win a game? I cant. Can you even remember when he had a decent 4th quarter? I cant.

I would love to see Brady, Manning, even a speedster like Vick behind this offensive line. The receivers do not gain separation, no holes for running backs, and zero time to throw. Henne may not be the long term answer, but he certainly is far from the biggest problem...

Henne Does not have what it takes. To many throws are behind the receiver and most of the throws the receivers catch have to be circus catches. Oh and his decision making is the worst i ever seen.

do they make circus drops too?

Woo, I really disagree, the reason, or at least to be fair, a large percentage of the reason why we are losing is because Chad Henne can't make plays to extend our downs, especially on 3rd downs.

Where we get into opinions is, if this guy or the other guys makes a catch or if Carpenter makes a field goal when we have to.

We can blame all our losses on the defense and on and on.

The point is, Henne is not the type of QB that can jump-start this team to a marginal lead (large), nor can he sustain a drive when he really has to or when it really counts.

I felt our game against the Browns, was a game, where the Browns tried to give away, and I mean virtually give it away for the taking, and some how, Henne threw 3 straight incompletions when it really counted and a pick (int) in his last throw....?

Is this a mark of a QB you want to build on...?

Every QB will throw it on the Pats. They have close to the worst pass defense in the league. Let's not act like Chad Henne did something amazing here. He is at best an average QB. I don't agree however with everyone gets the blame but him. By reading some posts it seems like he is the only one who does anything right and that is BS.

Anyone who argues for Henne beyond this point (as being a good/effective QB - when we are down 0-3) is either somehow related to Henne , or somehow they're associated with his agent or P.R. firm. ($$$$)

That being said, lets discount anything & everything that we're all saying about Henne to this point (and give him a clean slate) , lets just win this Sunday and we will all just shut "tfu"...!

Henne is not a good QB. Go to NFL.com and watch the replays of the throw to brandon marshall at end of game.

horrible. Henne has the arm, but not the brain to be an elite QB. that's just the facts. career 2nd or 3rd string QB.

put lots of pressure on any QB and they will not be that good. look at brady in the superbowl against the giants, didnt win that game for him. also take a look at the opportunities all the other teams defense give them with turnovers. Our team sucks at getting turnovers. Henne needs to improve in the red zone but to say he should be a stud under pressure is crazy, Not even brady plays great under pressure.

I looked through the entire thread again, and nobody is saying he is elite. I'm on record as saying he is average. conversely I am on record as saying basically the 0-3 record is only hennes fault to the extent that he is the starter.

the acceptance of mediocrity has trickled into the fanbase. Thanks to this staff our fanbase has no clue of what a great qb could be like for us.

The offensive problem is everyone on the offensive side of the ball. We don't make it when it counts.

i think chad henne has improved alot but i still believe he is our main problem. He panics under pressure and makes innaccurate throws due to pressure, he cant make the throws all good qbs can make. He cant get you 20 yards at the end of games when you need 20 yards to win the game.

Great job. Chad Henne has more weapons then any team in the division and he is the worst QB in the division. I know Bush is not that good but the other guy has 200 yards rushing in two game. If he needs Rice and Craig or Smith and Irving to be a good QB or to win at the end of the game he is never going to be a good QB. Henne is inaccurate and slow in making his reads. I am also tired of Sanchez comparisons. Sanchez Sucks who cares if he is better then Sanchez.

These arguments will always crop up until we get a franchise QB.... until then there will always be detractors and apologists for (insert QB).

Henne is not a good QB and is a career backup. The fact of the matter is he is another in a long line of bargain bin QB's that this organization has trotted out.

For the sake of all out sanity, let's pray we finally draft a top ten QB next year. At the very least it will give this team a shot in the arm and something we have not had in years...

Hope
