people thought theyre were going to be in the middle of the divison, turns out they are the only time above .500. and theyre pitching which has always killed them, is doing great. they have a bright future this year.

Enjoy it...

The A's are only 5 games under .500...even with:

5 of their 7 opening day relief pitchers miss long stretches of time
Are last in the AL in AVG. with runners in scoring position
Dan Haren, Bobby Crosby and Dan Johnson get of to a horrid starts
Joe Blanton has been brutal (although he pitchede a complete game shutout today)
Chavvy missed 2 weeks.
Esteban Loaiza's missed over a month (that could be good actually)
Milton Bradley has missed almost a month.
And their best pitcher (and maybe the best pitcher in the AL) Rich Harden has missed a month....

The Rangers have been surprising, I'll admit. That being said, I still think the A's win the West.

Bradley's coming off the DL, Loaiza's velocity has returned and he is due back, Crosby is starting to hit a little, Haren has been quite good the last few weeks and Rich Harden is gonna throw on Wednesday and is penciled in to start Sunday against the Twins and the bullpen is getting people back.

I havent been that surprised by the Rangers. I expected them to be better this year. I still think the West will come down to the Angels and As at the end though.

I did'nt want to say anything about the Angels....they are waiting in the weeds to make a move.

the rangers have been good for almost 3 years now, just last year they got bad breaks/ injurys. but people still thought that after 2 years ago, theyd be mediocre.
