Just horrible. Mirabelli has been terrible all night at the plate and swung at the first 3 pitches after Farnsworth walked Cora with 4 straight. Awful. Francoma is killing us once again tonight.

The fence in NY?Wright has really been improving, now let's see if he can go 6 or 7 next start. Mariano is slowly but surely getting it going again. The Sox are just killing our middle relief which hasn't been brutal against most of the other teams.

Wright has had 4 good starts now in a row. Good, not great. If he is only a 5 or 6 inning pitcher, I can live with that as long as he pitches at this level. Just don't get hurt!

2 things going into tonights game.
1) If we actually win this series, its a minor miracle with who we threw out there on the mound and with all of our injuries. If we lose tonight its no big deal, cause we have KC this weekend to hopefully beat up on. But a win tonight is almost like a bonus at this point.
2) I'm sorry. I said yesterday either brush back or hit Ortiz. Well if they want to hit Manny instead I am ok with that. Just do something to one of these two. What Manny did last night was bush league. It gets old. We are always the "classy ones" and do nothing about this stuff. Time for that to change. Time for some sweet chin music or just flat out hit one of those two. And it wouldn't be dirty, it wouldn't be bush league, it's baseball. I have no problem with taking the high road (but we have done it long enough) and I don't want to start a brawl (which it probably will do anyway) but enough is enough.
Just a fastball near the chin. Just once. Move the guy off the plate. Not asking for a lot here.

Manny is posing after home runs and 2 out singles. That is bush league. Do that against Bob Gibson or any other pitcher from that generation and he would have had the first pitch at his next at bat in his ear!
It took the Mets 3 years to finally get back at Clemens. We are slowly moving on that level where when it finally does happen its going to be a joke. LIke it was with the Mets and Clemens.
