Texas is paying for part of his salary now and will forever. Why would NY trade him? They get the best or 2nd best player in baseball (with Pujols) at a discount! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike can you please show me where I said trade Alex, please read posts carefully.

It's just a RedSox/Mets fan (I can't take anyone with 2 favorite teams seriously anyway, especially that combo who's fans don't like each other to begin with) who will crap on the Yanks for anything and everything just because.....

He has no credibility. Another guy who spends more time in the YANKEES THREAD of this board than the one of his own favorite team. It's sad, really really sad.
um I have 44 posts here and 128 in the Red sox thread, and 93 in the Mets, you don't even know what your talking about. I love how you throw fits because you can't argue because you know I'm right. I came here and gave my thoughts on A-Rod. I never said he sucked, I never said he should be traded. All I said was that he has struggled at times this year. I don't know what else you are reading from my posts, but stop putting words in my mouth. I never once came into this thread and said "the yankees suck" and then leave. Not once.

EDIT: And you have 42 posts IN THE METS THREAD :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno:

now you have 0 credibility.

he can't. He reads people's posts and then changes it around in his own mind.

MikeO's speaking the truth. I mean think about it, how many other third baseman in baseball are better then A-Rod? Look at A-Rod's numbers, there better then just about any other third baseman's in baseball....and he's having what's considered an off year!

I agree A-Rod is one of the best 3rd baseman in the game. I never said otherwise.

I NEVER said you said that. I was agreeing and adding on to what you were saying.:shakeno:

I think the New York media and some fans are over reacting in this AROD situation, yeah he has made some costly errors but the man is one of the best players in baseball history, he deserves some respect. He'll back into his old self.

.

Alex Rodriguez's offensive numbers as a 3rd baseman batter are average (.280 BA), and his defense this year is no where close to being the "best third baseman in the league". Mike Lowell is outperforming him as a third baseman (yes, comparing a redsox third baseman with a yankee's). A-rod is not meeting expectations at all, any Yankee fan knows it.

0-4, 4 strikeouts for A-Rod today, and they didn't even start him in third base today, he was at DH.

About 28% of his AB's this season have been strikeouts, and today didn't help that at all.

So, he's not only having an off year, he's having a horrible year. Average may be good for someone who has a base salary of 400,000; but when you are the 25.2 million dollar man, you better play at an MVP caliber level.

What Derek Lee is to the Cubs in the beggining of the season is what Alex should be to the Yankees.

You're absolutely right, except that it's more than just the NY media, it's all the media. FOX and ESPN have killed Arod all week. Watching the Red Sox/Mariner game today and after each Arod at bat they showed him striking out and continued to today about his struggles.

I don't think it would be a big deal if Arod wasn't so good or in NY.

what story have I changed? I've been saying the same thing the whole time. :shakeno:

If you think A-Rod hasn't struggled at some key times this season then you just don't pay attention.

jeez it's like talking to a rock.

Man, all this A-Rod hate makes me laugh. At the end of the day, I'd rather go to war (in baseball terms, no pun intended) with A-Rod on my team then on another team. I may be in the minority but that's just me!

I agree. As long as you don't need to count on him for his clutch hitting and I don't know if that has to do more with a-rod being a-rod or a-rod playing for NY.

Now, I don't watch many NY games but the games versus BOS, the clutch hits always come from Matsui, Sheff, Giambi, Posada and Boone :chuckle:

I fear those hitters much more than A-rod.

And as for a-rod's "no-trade" clause. If NY wanted to trade a-rod, I guarantee you that a-rod would not invoke his no-trade unless it was to a real **** team like KC or something.
