So with the rumors flying around about BP and the coaching staffing wanting to bring in more DL/OL could albert haynesworth be on the dolphins radar. Obviously as a player of his caliber all 32 teams would welcome him with open arms. If the Titans dont re-sign him for what ever reason they can not franchise tag him.

But do you think he is a 3-4 type of nose tacke?

Is it possilbe that Miami hasnt tossed deals towards crowder or carey due to wanting to wait to see what happens with the titans and haynesworth?

I don't think he's the right fit for our D, That, and I think Tennessee is close to getting a deal done with him.

I don't think he would be the right fit as a nose tackle.. I am not even sure if he would want to come down to Miami if he knows he's "just" a NT..
Haynesworth is more of 4-3 tackle who gets to the QB and can stuff the run and not just primarly defend against the run in a 3-4 scheme..
But it's funny how now everybody likes him and as he stomped on Gurode the center from the Cowboys everyone hated him and wanted him out of the league:lol: However in my opinion he has changed and is not really a dirty player and he also immediatley apologized to Gurode on the next day and stated that he does not want his legacy to be as a dirty player..

If we can get Haynesworth, then we need to get Haynesworth. Simple as that.

what kind of defense does Tennessee run? a 3-4 or 4-3?

If he came to Miami, he'd probably be a Richard Seymour type of DE. Ocassionally roatating to DT in nickel situations, etc.

he'd be nice to have if we ran a 4-3,but i personally don't want a 4-3 DT coming in to play NT in a 3-4...we really need to get a genuine bonafide 3-4 NT...
Haynesworth has good Size to be a Great NT he is 6'6 320 pounds thats bigger then Jason Ferguson who is 6'3 and 305 pounds he would be nice size for a 34 nose tackle

ok,he does have the size...but has he ever played in a 3-4 at the NT position, and if he hasn't...would he even want to?

Playing 3-4 NT is about technique. Why teams get and strive for NT's not DT's. Ferg was decent this year when he played, but bigger younger stronger is what the Front Office should be aiming for.

update on haynesworth...15 mil a year?

ESPN's Chris Mortensen doesn't believe that impending free agent Albert Haynesworth will re-sign with the Titans this offseason.
Haynesworth appears headed for the free agent market at age 27. He's played his best football in two contract years, which will make him a sizable risk. However, for as dominant as Haynesworth is he'll be worth the $15-18 million a year he gets in a long-term contract as long as he's playing hard.

Sorry I dont have a link, i got it rom another forum and they didnt have a link as well.

if thats hte money he is looking for...forget about it!
