the addition of Dom Capers as defensive cordinator would be amazing, I hope Nick can make this happen, Dom has been a great defensive coordinator everywhere he has been and contrary to what most think is a great football mind

I don't want Capers he has no chemistry and does not know our system. Lol

I do not see where you are coming from when you say he has no chemistry. Even though the Texans stunk they played hard for him every week. His defenses in Jax and Carolina were very solid and I would note strong chemistry in both. Moreover, he did not know Jacksonville's system after he left Carolina, but he stepped right in and did extremely well under Tom Coughlin who is a tough tough guy to work for.

The Sun Sentinal says "Capers is especially knowledgeable about the 3-4 defensive system the Dolphins deploy."

5 teams have already contacted him...what do you know about Capers?

Hire him! Hire him NOW!!!! I'm telling you, with Capers, a 2nd year under Linehan (Hopefully he'll stay), and another good job of bringing in Free Agents ala last season and picking up good some good picks that can contribute like Brown, Daniels, Wright, and Crowder did this past season and we will be right in the mix with the best teams in the league sooner rather than later..

I don't disagree just using the same logic we have for not improving QB. I actually know alot about capers.

I never liked Capers as a Head Coach but have little knowlege of him as a D.C. For some reason, I think he could be nice here though, and could help develop our young franchise defense.

I honestly dont know a whole lot about Capers except for his stints with Carolina and Houston. I found this though

from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dom_Capers
he began his NFL career as an assistant with the New Orleans Saints and was named defensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1991, including a trip to the AFC Championship game in 1994... Capers was known for his abilities as a defensive coach, and for his conservative play-calling on offense. He was also famous because he kept a 17 hour per day work schedule and sleeping just five hours per night, often on a couch in his office.

He seems like a smart, hard working defensive mind who is probably best suited at specializing on defence, and would make a fine DC.

Bring on Capers!
