**The Official** Is it too early to panic thread?

You know, if Ricky was actually going to play the 1st game of the year, I would not panic at all.

Or if Ronnie gets in here and proves he is ready to start the season.

We will be in most games just like last year. We just have to win more of those close games and we have to not get hit with the injury bug.

lol, the thread is a good idea. But for to many people the sky is falling and the apocolypse is here

If anything the two games have made me feel better about our season. Last year I remember we were shut out by Washington in preseason and I pannicked because I knew after Ricky leaving our offense no longer existed. Sure enough we were the lowest scoring team in the nfl last year.

But in the two games this year (that dont count) I was relieved to see our offense that scored 17 points with no run game (for us thats great!). And then tonight Ricky ran like Ricky of old, and for that you can take your 2 lousy preseason W's.

Were experimenting and learning. Once things are put into place I think we will be a very competitive team in 05.

It is too early to panic but the offense will (I predict) cause a lot of three and outs and stalled drives at least early in the season. Saban or not the offense is making a lot of the same mistakes it made last year especially penalties on the offensive line. This will cause wear and fatigue on our defense just as it has in the past. It will continue to be until we find permanent solutions of offense. I would love to be wrong but somebody has to do more than just talk about it. We need to see it on the field.
