Alright, we are now 6 days from my favorite day of the year. Opening weekend in the NFL. Bill Parcells latest rebuilding project takes on a true test in week 1 vs Brett Favre and the New York Jets. So lets hear your predictions for this game, mine are :

Jets-13
Dolphins-20

Ricky Williams with over 100 yard rushing, and two td's
 
I'll say Phins 20 Jets 17

Dan Carpenter takes it for us with seconds left
Ricky goes for 100+
Ginn nearly returns for a TD
Brett throws 2 INTS
Chad P throws for 2 TDs
 
Phins 14
Jets 13

Both teams struggle on offense. Phins hold the Jets to under 200 total yards

Dolphins 17

...I love our team, but the Jets will JUST beat us to it this weekend. The JETS still suck and will get no where near the playoffs, but they normally beat us, so I will go with history. :(
 
Someone wins, someone loses. Most Phins fans will pick the Phins to win, same for the Jets fans.

For what it's worth...Miami is 4-1 against the jets when Ricky plays...not sure if it makes a difference this year though...
 
I'm going with:

Dolphins 23
Jets 17

The best part is it's going to be on TV here WOO HOO!
 
This game scares me, our team is young, hungry and inexperienced, i feel by the time we understand that there is a change in speed and tempo from preseason to regular season Brett Farve will have put 21 points on the board.

I really just wanna see us go out there have fun and play with a nasty streak, i dont care if we win, just show the world that we have a new identity as a franchise
