Well, seeing how I am a Dodgers homer, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Nomar hit a GRAND SLAM in the ninth inning off of Brad Lidge of the Astros. Welcome back from obscurity Nomar, The REAL team from L.A. is glad to have you here. :cooldude:

If Nomar is healthy the guy will hit. He is a hitting machine and back before Al "F'n" Reyes hit him in the wrist (which probably ruined his shot at the HOF) he was one of the best hitters in baseball by far. It's too bad but I'm glad to see Nomar back, hopefully he stays healthy.

Never took enough pitches for my liking... Even before the wrist.... He put up great numbers, but my gawd was he frustrating in the playoffs swinging at every first pitch...

Check out this trade, tell me what you think

EDIT: ****, wrong thread. Sorry

Poor Nosemar...I miss watching him tapping his cleats and messing with his gloves ten times while in the batter's box. :D

Nomar, had pretty good playoff numbers. I know he struggled in the 2004 ALCS playoffs, but he has a career .323 hitter with 7 home runs and RBIs. His OBP was .391 (11 BB and 1 HBP). He had 96 at bats in 26 games.

Actually, I was more impressed during spring training with his transition to first base. People give Nomar a hard time, but the man has always been willing to change positions if asked and has actually done quite well defending the second hottest corner (it will catch on, trust me).

Those injuries though. He is almost in the Ken Griffey Jr. range now. You just know they are good for one or two DL stints a year.

I like Nomar but he's it's only 4 for 7 .429 avg. to start the season let's not hand him the MVP just yet Samphin:D j/k.Oh and the Angels are still top dog in LA.
Btw that was a nice shot he hit though for the slam.

If only the Angels actually, you know, PLAYED in L.A. or you know even within that county. :rolleyes2

No MVP for Nomar. Just excited to see him do something. Of course, tonight he stranded everyone so what are you gonna do...
