the one long play chambers made, the 58 yard touchdown, was nullified because of a clipping

did this make anyone else angry with that catch he would have been over 100 for his first game this year

oh i was totally p***ed off. it seems like every time we get a big play, it's called back for a stupid penalty on one of our guys. we just keep hurting ourselves. AND IT NEEDS TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually it was a chop block that was called, but a stupid penalty non the less...... still a nice throw and catch for the td....

Yeah that kind of thing is what we have become known for the past few seasons, Joey was right on the mark and Chambers showed a flash of what we have been waiting to see consistantly all year long.. I liked the way they tried to get Chambers involved early in the game for once, but it looks like they are one page away from being on the same one..

Every time we get a big play I look for the flag cause I know it's coming. Hopefully they will put a stop to that. The penalties in general have seemed to slowed way down since the beginning of the year. So that least that's good.

well, besides that that chip block is supposed to be legal in running plays??? and not passing? Can anyone explain that one?

But what made me angrier was the fact that Joey stinks so bad that if we mess up just "one" play...we won't get one like that again the rest of the game. Pitiful!:barf:

you know wht is pitiful.......is that joey had a nice game and people still are bashing him......brown sucks more cause he only has two yards last game:rolleyes: .......joey did really good and i think as the season this progessing he is getting better......he had a rating of 76.1.....best rating this year and u still give him no props........:shakeno:

but about that call....i was upset about it to cause i finally thought that joey and chris where starting to connect.....sad exchange

I think Ronnie deserves some criticism, but when you've got two LB's in your face because nobody blocks them then the only person who could run away from that is Barry Sanders, and dont forget he also leads the NFL all time list in negative yards rushing.

Since we're having pass protection issues guys like Ronnie and Randy disappear in the passing game because they're staying in to block. The good/bad news is that we didnt get him involved in the passing game. Good because it meant our WR's were open, bad because it looks like he didnt get involved in the game

What made me mad about the penalty was it was only an attempt! Peele went in low but the defender just jumped over him and his block! Then a few plays later a viking blatantly with both legs did a leg trip on one of our guys and no flag!

What disturbed me about that big play is that it was a simple short crossing route. What disturbs me is that we can't find a way to expose the deep middle and stretch teams vertically and our big plays are mostly turning out to be RAC plays where the D screws up and loses containment.

and every joey hater seems to forget that if peele wasnt on the field for that play Joey woulda had what, 300 yards and two td's?? also we woulda had the lead, and the defense wouldn't have had to won it for us.

A TD on a short crossing route where Chambers makes the entire play happen with RAC doesn't impress me as much as, let's say, the TD he threw to Marty Booker in the Chicago game.

Joey had two turnovers in this game. Both were very costly in nature. One was a botched handoff on the doorstep of the goal line where we were pretty much guaranteed a touchdown, and another was on our side of the field and came within a yard or two of being a pick-6. It is a testament to the defense that we held them to a field goal with an incredible goal line stand.

I was ticked, and it looked like we were gonna lose for awhile until the defense showed up in the 4th. That was a total momentum killer, and the chop block literally had no effect on the defensive player. Still illegal, and shouldn't have been done. But man that was annoying, and it always seems to happen to us, getting scores negated for stupid penalties. I bet you they wouldn't make that call against the Patsies or Steelers.

Anyways, I don't hate Chambers by any means but he's just not #1 material. #1 WRs have to be consistantly good. They can't dissapear, and show up whenever they choose.
