The one point that matters with ricky

I'm still not sure how good Ricky Williams really is. He really only had one breakout season, and every year other than that he was really about average at best. I figured it out once before, and without his 2002 numbers he averaged something like 3.7 YPC, and 7 TD's......Not exactly superstar Numbers. We also didn't win with him here, and his 2003 campaign was really just not good at all. He had an Insane number of carries, and a good amount of yards, but hell........ Any former dolphins RB would have gotten over 1,000 yards with that many carries, and it used to just make me sick watching him turn his back, and fall down to avoid contact. So this may sound crazy, but the Jury is still out on RW.........Talent Wise

Gimme a break!!!! Wannstedet didn't give Ricky 40 + carries a game, Wannstedt had it to where Ricky could come out of a game whenever he wanted to give himself some rest. This was a luxury most RB's DID NOT have, and he could have kept himself out of the game more if that was the real reason. Fact of the matter is......... RW played SOFT in 2003, and we lost games because of it!!!!

his last season here he was behind a bad Oline. I think the real Ricky was the one who gained 1800+ yards. Even if that was a fluke for Ricky, I'll still take 1400-1500 yrd seasons.:D

the real Ricky was the one that ran for over 1800........ So the other 4 seasons when he was sub par to average mean nothing??? He was in the league for 5 Years,and had ONE good year!!! Oh, and he never ran for over 1,4000 yards in a season except for 2002

Any good DC will stop the best threat, hence Ricky goes from 1800 to 1300...all with a QB who can't throw deep...the best way to stop a D from loading up on the run is throw downfield... to do that you need protection and a QB to get it there. Two things we didn't have.

NO........... I for one DO NOT think he will be anywhere near at the level he was when he left. What some people don't understand is it takes these guys their whole lives to get into the right shape, and playing at the level they need to to make it in the NFL, and a year off could set you back a few years. If he comes back, and tears it up, then I'm wrong, so be it but it's not as easy as everyone thinks

Are you kidding me...Ricky can come back and rush for 1800 yards or more if our O line plays decent, he is that talented...in fact I think he is the best back in the league if not at least in the top 5. Regardless what his reasons are for coming back(I don't know) when this man has something to prove he is dangerous. However like you said it won't be easy.
