The one thing I’m most optimistic about our future….

Speaking solely from my humble opinion, I am totally ok with Coach MickeyD, Tua and the offense, as I believe they are good enough to score on anyone...

However I have strong concerns about the Defense... I keep waiting for Fangio to adjust... or scheme or put the D player in a position to shut down the opponents passing game... But it hasnt happened yet...

The team suffered a loss because Fangio couldnt stop the Titans twice in the 4th qtr and almost happened again against the Cowboys... luckily the offense was able to move down the field and kick the winning field goal..

If somehow the defense can dominate and shut down the opponent, then I can say the team is Super Bowl caliber... in the meantime, each game is pins n needles

You need your eyes checked

To me it comes down to the F/O Finally getting the HC right and the HC getting the right Asst Coaches. This to me has been the difference from past regimes.

Every single coach has gotten the most out of his players this year.

The only thing I'm hoping for is a much more well rounded offense that utilizes everyone, not just Hill and Waddle. They could be virtually unstoppable and they are already elite.

The future is truly bright.

We have the combo! A very promising improving genius of a Head Coach and a very accurate and relentless QB. This is the kind of HC/QB combo that we were lacking since Shula/Marino days. I am impressed by how we are overcoming very significant injuries. Specially on our OL. The way McDaniel and Tua plan/play to compensate for no time to throw and a decimated run blocking game is just incredible. I think when McDaniel gets experience into his play calling duties and Tua gets more time from his OL the sky is the limit for this team. We need to keep finding weapons like Hill and Achane at all costs cause our coach can bring the best of them for sure. I am VERY impressed of how a team with 4 starters out of 5 on their OL can compete with a TOP defense like the Cowboys. That system that McDaniel is implementing is really working. Having the number ONE offense in the entire NFL while having so many injured players on the OL, and no big RB names, no receiving TE and a QB that doesn’t fit the modern prototype is something I could never imagine, but we have the coaching staff and the necessary talent to do it. Just 🤩 amazing!
Mostert’s contributions cannot be underestimated. He has been running “angry” all year. Kudos to Wilson Jr yesterday.

I think yesterday showed what a dynamic, athletic TE could do for this offense. Major props to Durham Smythe, great work yesterday......but my great googly moogly..... imagine Brock Bowers, Luke Lachey , Ja'Tavion Sanders , dare is say Oronde Gadsden II in the later rounds.... Sam LaPorta with those Smythe touches yesterday may have scored twice, and maybe, just maybe you don't have to throw the ridiculous fade route to ill-equipped receivers anymore in the red zone. We're not getting anywhere near Bowers with pick #32 obviously, but a bad-ass TE in next year's draft just might be the cherry on top of this delicious sundae Mike McD has concocted.

My sense is that the organisation really, really likes Smythe.

And based on fairly recent history we reserve early draft picks for premium positions.

Not saying we don’t look to strengthen in that area … I just think it’s unlikely.

At this point I say keep the defense together and draft OL to work with Barry. I know we can’t keep everybody but I want to keep Wilkins and Avg and I'm willing to let Williams and Hunt walk if that's what it takes.

I like where we're at right now but we have many hard decisions to make this off season. I just hope we're smart about it.
That is the thing to keep focused on.

It's not so much how well the fans like the upcoming draft selections we make; but what our coaches can do with those draft picks to get them ready for NFL level competition. This means learning how their position fits in with our coaches' expectations of what they need to do to be able to integrate themselves with the Dolphins playbook.

Bullshit. Mostert and Achane are big RB names. Don't you disrespect my running backs like that!!

For the first time in over 26 years I'm feeling optimistic myself! The thing I'm most excited about is how this might affect us drafting. McDaniel's definitely saw something in Achain (spelling) and I'm excited to see future diamonds in the rough! Merry Christmas my friend and thanks for your post!
I am loving the wins but I'm still waiting to see. It's just been years of let downs and disappointment that has me at this level. I'm not expecting anything. We have the Ravens and the bills and I don't think we will pull those ones out.

I wouldn't expect a te as a pic in the draft next year. It better be an ilb and all o linemen.

I agree, but I would love to keep 3.
Depending on who (if any will give us a bit of a hometown discount.

priorities
1. Wilkins 18-19m - if we cant afford him, then there is enough to sign the other 3.
2. AVG -9-10m
3. Hunt -?
4. Williams - no idea
