Ezekiel Elliot..

With as many needs as we have, no 1 position player is going to make a difference for this team IMO. I know I know, you don't need to draft rbs high. BUT...

The more tape of players I watch the more I go back to Ezekiel. He's the BEST player in this draft IMO.

With our bad oline/qb, a RB like Elliot has a ton of value. This dude is a Leveon Bell type, who IMO is the best RB in the NFL.

These guys just know how to find space where there isn't any. I haven't seen another RB as complete and as good at navigating through traffic the way Ezekiel does it. This is a VERY rare trait.

This guy will rack up first downs, make tannehills job easier, keep the defense off the field, force defenses to stay close to the line.

IF immediate improvement is important to you, than Ezekiel should be our draft pick.

I said the same thing about Gurley last year, i had Gurley #1 Parker #2.

I don't think anyone can argue Gurley doesn't make us a better team last year and going into next season.

This league is more And more becoming a league of elite players. If you don't have them you don't sniff playoffs.

Ezekiel is as elite as it gets in this draft, and our roster is desperate for elite players.

I like Ezekiel but I wouldn't say only he can turn this team around...It will take a few more players then just him.

No doubt he is very good but isn't quite Gurley.Btw Gurley didn't turn The Rams around and they have a lot more talent on that team then we do.

Ezekiel Elliot is not as talented as Todd Gurley.

Gurley's raw athletic ability sets him apart, I'd pick Gurley over Ezekiel.

But I think ezekiel will be just as productive, and is also is better catching and blocking.

Rams defense is talented, there offense is non-existent besides Gurley.

Elliot is a good rb, but there are 3 that will come out next year that will be better prospects.

A mediocre offensive line, huge gaps in talent at LB and CB, the potential loss of one or both of the top DE's and the guy who will turn this team around is a RB?

Is he Jim Brown?

It takes guts to mention a running back at #8, but it does make a lot of sense.

This is an excellent player, who can do it all. The wild card in the whole draft is Adam Gase and how much he will value offense.

That said, I do think the team goes defense there. But it is interesting that Todd Gurley was a target last year so I wouldn't close the door on Elliott.

I had Gurley #1 and Parker #2 as well. I think that's how Miami had them, but we'll never know.

I just don't think Elliott is as good as Gurley, but he's probably more well rounded (better receiver and blocker).

I love Elliot, and I'd rather go with him than an iffy prospect at a more premium position, but Miami should have a shot at a player as good as Elliot at a more premium position. I believe in investing in RB, but I don't think this is the way to do it. You have to diversify your options at the position, because RB's take so much punishment. Bell - who you mentioned - was a 2nd RD pick. Jeremy Hill was a 2nd, David Johnson a 3rd, Charles a 3rd, McCoy a 2nd, etc.

I had Johnson as a late 1st rnd pick, But I probably out much more emphasis on high quality running backs than most people.

IMO tannehill doesn't have a shot in hell to push us into the playoffs without a absolute stud to hand the ball off to over and over.

I agree about the punishment factor though. But it's beyond time for this team to look past positions and draft real talent that can change games. Its just like how we needed oline help over the years, oh just draft this guy, or this guy, sign this guy..

It never makes a bit of difference, youll never fill all your position needs...

draft talent....
