That is what I have been saying all along. Not even high school coaches have to read their victory speeches off of cue cards. C'mon man!! He gotta go. Dolphins are going to get an up close and personal look at the coach they should have hired. Mike Zimmerman of the Bengals. Those dudes on defense will run through a brick wall for that man.

Who cares if he uses cards as reference? He is not going anywhere in just his second year and there is a reason Mike Zimmerman has never been hired as a head coach.

No **** sherlock. But we are talking about Philbin's effectiveness as a HC. If we lose tonight, we likely wont be in the playoffs, but that doesn't necessarily mean Philbin has lost his team.

The Only guy I want here is TONY DUNGY. Gruden is not a good coach, he inherited a monster defense put together by TONY DUNGY, Gruden won a SB with the exact team and offensive plays DUNGY made for the team. If you guys don't believe that just analize what happened after that, DUNGY made the SB and built one of the best franchises in the Indianapolis Colts, and Gruden went down to the toilet with the raiders. I personally don't want Gruden in here I want the master TONY DUNGY.

This name hit me like a ton of bricks in the shower this morning. I kept wondering WHO in the entire NFL, with experience and is available, could possible stabilize this organization and immediately win over the players: Tony Dungy. The man oozes confidence, patience, understanding and the ability to unify an organization while getting the most out of every resource.

IF everything we hear is in fact unfolding, we need someone with class that has fought in the trenches with troubled players and has the respect of every man he's come in contact with. A soothing presence that makes even the most troubled locker room sit down and listen to what he has to say. He understands people. He's a leader of men.

I personally believe this organization and fan base can NOT look for answers that gut the entire team and start over YET AGAIN. We need a coach who can come in and take the pieces we have and CONTINUE building this team with the current pieces while adding his own. We have a LOT of great pieces guys; we really do. We need a stabilizing force that can bring them all together and maximize their ability and mold them into a cohesive collection of men.

I despise the idea of a new GM, HC and staff simply based on track record and principle. But if it must be done, I don't want to lose any of our players OR Tanny. Tony Dungy is the ONLY guy I want. He's worth every penny it takes to get him here. Even if it means paying him more than any coach in the NFL. But mind this, MONEY is NOT the issue. Getting him to believe this organization is worth saving is the key. He doesn't need to coach.

He's the only answer I see that brings this team together, maximizes our resources and gives us immediate respect in the media. Which is a desperately needed benefit at this point.

If we are turning over staff and FO, this is the ONLY guy I want.

Dude has sent this franchise back nearly a decade with the way he's run the fins.

Give me a break with Ireland. Trading up for the 3rd pick and then picking a kid who can't beat out Vernon Olivier? Could've had Joe Hayden and Menelik Watson (OT) with the TWO picks we gave up for a situational player. Incompetence rains supreme.

Don't want him fired till AFTER the season. Keep him and Ireland on till the end of the year so we can ensure a top 8 draft pick.

Signing Phillip Wheeler? Makes Kevin Burnett look like Patrick Willis. Makes Marlon Greenwood look like Lawrence Taylor. HORRIBLE!

I know I endorsed Dungy a few posts ago, but he's the only name I would even consider. But I know that's not a realistic option.

I made a comment a few days ago talking about one of the problems we have is that no one truly wants to come here. Constantly turning over coaches in 2 and 3 year intervals has ruined our image and created the biggest problem we have: credibility. We are not respected by proven players and coaches because we have shown no patience with leadership.

The real answer for this team is we must endure Philbin and Company. And we MUST HOPE they regain the respect of the players. And it's not done by scolding and yelling. It's time for this coaches to sit down and listen. It's time for them to accept criticisms and change positively in response to them.

Will it happen, highly unlikely. But it has before. Tom Coughlin finally sat down and realized he had to change in order for his team to start winning. He changed himself, they won a Super Bowl.

I said yesterday that great leaders are born in chaos, we have such a moment. Do we have the "great leader" on our team?

Unfortunately, there was one particular man with a huge heart on that team, and he now plays for Detroit.

My favorite Reggie Bush moment is still the time when he came out and said "we stink and we all signed on the dotted line, so instead of crying about it I'm going to go bust my ass to win some games." And then he told Yeremiah Bell to shut the **** up when Bell said "we don't stink." And then Reggie went out and had some good football games.

Water under the bridge, I suppose.

I honestly thought Lamar Miller could come in, and replace Bush. I was Wrong. When you think back to the big plays last year, it was Bush. More importantly, you are correct Bush was a Leader, the 2013 Dolphins are sorely missing. If they Lose tonight, another Season is Lost.

The issue is less about Philbin as it is about the organization as a whole.

As of right now the team doesn't have an identity or even direction...the offense is meant to be a WCO/ZBS and yet many of the player that were brought in do not fit that scheme. The defense is no better as the team runs a 4-3 and the personnel is much better suited for a 3-4. Again many of those issues can be laid at the feet of Ireland, but it also appears the Philbin has had a hand in the direction of the team as well.

The team lacks leadership...the team got rid of anyone who was a vocal leader and fail to replace them with anyone. Player leadership is extremely important to a team and when you basically remove anyone who shows that type of leadership, you are going to have a hard time finding anyone to step up.

Poor game management....multiple times over the last few weeks we have seen the coach blow challenges that could have turned the game in Miami's favor.

The staff....outside of o-line and TE I have never seen such poor player development.

Again, I'm not for firing everyone because I liked the fact that I thought the Dolphins could go into a 3rd off-season with the same staff/GM and QB and that kind of stability is important, but each week the group in charge is showing that they may not be cut out for the NFL.

This was playoffs or bust. Ross did this to himself by taking a half measure instead of starting fresh. It's time to really start fresh. The fans deserve it.

Ideally, I would want someone who runs some version of the WCO so we wouldn't need to start from scratch. That's why Gruden or David Shaw makes sense.

Its 2013 Mr Skape, everyone has a few pages from the WCO in their playbook. Getting a new coaching staff right now pretty much guarantees us a losing season, lots pf player turnover this offseaon, and likely a losing season next year as well while we rebuild. This idea that firing the coaching staff will instantly make us better is a load of crap.

Cam Cameron went 1-15 and lost his team after the first game. You really think thats whats going on here? come on lets be serious.
