The party's over for Philbin and company

Its 2013 Mr Skape, everyone has a few pages from the WCO in their playbook. Getting a new coaching staff right now pretty much guarantees us a losing season, lots pf player turnover this offseaon, and likely a losing season next year as well while we rebuild. This idea that firing the coaching staff will instantly make us better is a load of crap.

Cam Cameron went 1-15 and lost his team after the first game. You really think thats whats going on here? come on lets be serious.

I'd rather start over now than a year later. I don't see any potential out of this regime anymore. They will only dissappoint us.

That being said, I do want someone who will try to develop Tannehill. I don't want him thrown out with the bath water

The Biggest issue is Ross Half-assed his house cleaning two years ago and we are seeing the residuals of that decision. If Ireland goes, so does everyone else...I like Philbin, but he is a product of his circumstances...

agreed. And in hindsight I wish we had stayed w Henne. Doing something similar worked out for the colts.

Um, Henne got injured in the fourth game of the season, that's why Matt Moore started playing.

Although I suppose that if you wanted an injured quarterback playing rather than a healthy one, you really were rooting for 0-16.

The handwriting is on the wall.
Philbin's gotta go, Ireland, Aponte, bye-bye. Organization is anything but, it's a disorganization.
Call Bill Cowher, Mr. Ross, tell him whatever he wants, it's available.
Instant respectability.
This season is a culmination of poor personnel decisions (Ireland) and horrible coaching (Philbin, Sherman).

Props to Philbin. His team played hard all game and he made some significant changes on a short week that helped pull out the win. I don't know if I would've had the sack to put my career on the line punting on 4th and 1 from the 40 in OT but it worked out. Good job.

Joe's got nine games to save his job. Good luck.

He just got a big one tonight. I dont think Joe is in trouble. I think Jeff Ireland squarely is. Dawn Aponte following joe around and basically staying clear of Ireland.

Not a whole lot has changed despite tonight's win. Tonight reminds me of back in 2003 when we came back to beat the Redskins and everyone was in love with Dave Wannstedt and Jay Fiedler that night and talking about how they saved the season.

Fickle fans. This team is still in trouble. We literally won this game by a couple inches. The team played extremely hard to overcome the play calling and scheme issues.
If I was Ross, I would be laying the groundwork for a new GM and OC at the minimum. I have seen enough.

I predict with 9+ wins everybody is safe and 8-8 or less everybody is gone. Which is unfortunate cause I still think Philbin might be a good coach but Ireland is just the worst.

I remember that well. I also know that the Dolphins always find a way to beat Cincinnati except for that forgettable 2007 season when Ochocinco and Chris Henry tore our secondary apart.

If the team makes the playoffs, no one gets fired.

One and a half seasons and people already want the head coach fired? I can understand wanting the GM fired, but Philbin??? No wonder we can't get any damn leadership stability.

It's time for Philbin to prove it. He really didn't do much in the Cincy game to allay many if my fears. All the same watts of previous games, the difference was a healthy Wake.

From what I've seen so far, Philbin isn't the guy to make this team a true contender. If they miss playoffs, I think it's time to find an upgrade at GM and HC.

I remember it took Tom Landry something like seven years to post a winning season in Dallas. By today's standards, he certainly wouldn't have lasted that long. Patience is hard for fans, but I see some good signs. We have an obvious glaring weakness on the offensive line and the decision to let Jake Long go seems like a bad one. But, Ryan Tannehill has improved despite the poor play on the line, Lamar Miller is now starting to emerge, there's some talent on defense. And the schedule is more favorable in the second half.

Miami has been in virtually ever game and you could make an argument that they could have won some of the games they lost or lost some they've won. It's a competitive team that is still lacking in some areas. The talent evaluation on the offensive line is concerning since that is Joe Philibin's background, but it's too early to say he's not the guy. For all the talk about Tony Dungy there were conversations that he was too nice and gave too much respect to players. That stopped when he won the super bowl.

I still think the Dolphins go 9-7 maybe 10-6, but this next offseason has to be the one where the team puts the pieces together. You only get so much time in today's NFL.
