Ok, so was that PI absolutely a bad call? Or it's definitely something in the grey area? Meaning, it could be called, or it could be not called?

they called the same thing against Brandon Marshall when we played them last year. definitely grey area to me. Hartline pushed off a bit.

If the WR extends his arm and gets caught they call it. It doesn't seem all that grey to me.

They don't always see it, but they did consistantly call it as a penalty last year.

I think the 'arm checking' thing is a HUGE grey area. Most of the time it seems like interference to me. Sometimes it gets called sometimes it doesn't...

It was the right call. Doesn't mean it's always called, but it was the right call given the rules.

I only call it a grey area because sometimes it is called and sometimes it is not. It's definitely a penalty though.

Holding is sometimes called and not called as well. I gaurantee a ref calls that PI every time he sees it. It was the right call, but I think Hartline could have made the catch without the hand extension. Great catch none-the-less.

Grey area. We got away with a defensive pass interference in the 4th when Vontae slapped someone's facemask before dropping an INT, so I can't complain.

Looking at the replays if you see, even though it doesn't look like Hartline pushed that hard, the defender clearly gets pushed back a little bit. That little push goes a long way as when the defender is going backwards for even 1/4 of a second, that allows for separation.

Hartline still showed some talent overall.

The db reached out and put his hand on Hartline first, and they were past 5 yards. That should've been the penalty.

Could be true, but since the contact rules were re-emphasized a couple years ago the refs have progressively gotten more lax and just let the guys play football again.

There is a difference between putting in a hand and giving a legitimate, observable shove. Any time a guy moves as a direct result of contact, thats gonna get the flag. The rest is just playing a bit physical.

BS call in my opinion, doesnt matter if its Brandon Marshall or Brian Hartline. He may have tapped the CB, but imo it did not interfere with the CB from making a play. Regadless of the hand tap, Hartline would have made the catch as he did, so I call BS on that PI call.

It was the right call, but the DB should've been called when he grabbed his arm so...
