The Patriots are not that scary

I mean New England no disrespect, they are a good team but I have to say that I am surprised by the amount of negative comments I read here and from some of the Miami sports writers.

I hear stuff like this,

"We are going to get burnt by Brady, moss and welker"
"Looking at match ups, I see no way the Dolphins can win"
"I just hope we are still in it in the 4th quarter"
"They are master of picking up the blitz. We are doomed"

on and on it goes.

Come on guys, its like we think we are the 1-15 fins....

We have played the Colts, Chargers and Saints already this year and have come within a hair of beating each of them.

Do you guys honestly think the Pats are better than those teams? Who have the pats beat this year that justifies the ulcer they are giving some of you?

What? Beating Tenn 59-0 in the snow at home and beating tampa bay 35-7?

This make them scary?

I mean they beat buffalo by 1 point (who we destroyed), lost to the jets (who we swept) by 5, beat Atlanta by 6, beat Baltimore by 6 and lost to Denver by 3.

They haven't beaten anyone except trash teams by more than TWO FIELD GOALS.

oooohhh.. scary.....

I am not saying that they are a bad team and I'm not saying that we are guaranteed a win. What I am saying is that we are building them up to be something they haven't earned yet this season.

The only thing they have done this year that we haven't is win 5 games and with their sched getting harder and ours softer, I don't see how that is something to get worried about.

We have been giving better teams heart attacks all season long. Teams that the "experts" said we had no chance with. I don't see why we have to get so concerned.

Should we respect New England? Yes, Brady is a great QB.

Should we be fearful and pray for just a slight beating? Heck no!!!

Come on Miami!!!

I think the loss of Matt Light will hurt the Pats. Of course, we've been pretty good at rushing the passer early in the games. It's the second half that we seem to collapse in.

Vollmer has stepped in and done a damn good job. There really isnt a hole there.

I wouldn't use that game to measure anything. It was clear that Tennessee was usesless in the snow...and the Pats were just used to it. It was a comedy of errors.

Unless it is snowing hard like it was for that game, I would erase it from my memory.

I agree to a point. If the Fins were playing the wk 1 & 2 Pats, the spread would be 3pts.

Now? Brady is close to 100%, the defense has gelled, and they're coming off a bye week.

No reason to be scared. Concerned? Yup. What's the likelyhood that the fins can get 21pts off st/def scores again? I think their defense has to play very well to keep the game close.

I'm confident we will be in the game for the first half like we have been most of the year against really good teams. I'm just not sure how we will finish in the second half, as our team seems to fall apart after the half even with a huge lead.

So, you think the patriots are going to stop us? we are one of the best teams running the ball, going against your 4.5 yards aloud on the ground. Don't get me started on why miami is going to murder the patriots. They haven't done crap against good teams. They beat a falcons team that has an awful pass defense, and failed to put up more than 2 scores against the jets or broncos.. This game is going to end with miami winning 35-24.. Ronnie hasnt had a good game in 3 weeks, counting the bye week. He will break out, and ricky is going to be explosive like ricky. Plus, are the patriots dumb enough to kick to ginn? I can't wait till kickoff

have you watched any dolphin games this year? we basically beat the saints if it wasnt for some bullsh!t call at the end of the first half that would of ran the clock out, and if they would of got that touchdown off the int from sharper right.. Miami didnt lose that game, the refs lost us that game.. We put up 30 points in the last 4 games.. The only team for which has done it against the jets, and saints.. Your defense is dipleted, your offensive line is missing their best player, and laurence is your only option at rb. Who is your second flanker? Brandon Tate? Isnt he a rookie? I would take our corners over your 2nd flanker anyday.. I mean you are on your 3rd string d.e and a rookie on the other side.. dont get me wrong, the patriots have a great offense, but miami has the better TEAM!
