sallust99 says:Oct 31, 2013 2:45 PMNews Flash: Sherman Sucks.
What did he win in Green Bay with two time league MVP and fourth and half a yard to beat the Eagles and go to the Super Bowl? That’s right nothing?
What did he win at A&M? And where did he have Johnny Football and the rest of this talent? Oh that’s right, riding the pine.

Sherman Sucks Period.

colinjs27 says:Oct 31, 2013 2:56 PMAs a lifelong Packer fan I can tell you this. Under the Mike Sherman watch, the Packers were the worst 2nd half team in the league. Countless times the Packers would have a big lead in the first half, only to squander the lead. I always felt that other teams would make adjustments at halftime that heavily outweighed the Packers adjustments. He’s too quick to ditch a bad game plan, and with not stick with game plans that work. Bad combo. I think Philbin is a good coach, but Sherman is their downfall. Also, anyone notice how much of an aXX he is and how he talks to his players? Hard Knocks did not do him any favors.

bigd9484 says:Oct 31, 2013 2:48 PMAs a Packer fan, I will ask if the Dolphins fans are sick of seeing this yet? Any down over 10 yards? Draw play. 3rd and short? Pass. 10 point lead? Start throwing deep. Sheer ingenuity from Sherman.

phinland says:Oct 31, 2013 2:49 PMIt’s become painfully obvious that Sherman is out of his element calling plays and he is often called out by numerous media sites, rightfully so.

uwsptke says:Oct 31, 2013 2:51 PMNot so easy when you don’t have Ahman Green & Brett Favre. Green had an 1,800 yard season (just on the ground – he tore it up in the passing game as well), but was overshadowed that year because Jamaal Lewis reached 2,000.

shibbyleigh says:Oct 31, 2013 3:29 PMWatching this turd playcall for the Packers was infuriating.
1st and 10: stuffed HB draw.
2nd and 9: failed screen pass.
3rd and 9: stuff HB draw.

4th and Facepalm: punt.

ProDolphinsTalk says:Oct 31, 2013 2:51 PMDeja Vu. See Dan Henning 2008-2010.

shaundolphinsfan23 says:Oct 31, 2013 2:52 PMMike Sherman has the plays and the players to be successful this year. The problem with this guy is that it seems like he picks 40 plays, puts them into a machine, and presses “random”. There’s no flow to his play calling. At all.

greenisgold1265 says:Oct 31, 2013 2:52 PMAhman Green in his prime rushing for over 2,000 yards. The best oline in the league, Brent Favre in the twilight of his prime and his career achievement was 4-26

steve3211 says:Oct 31, 2013 2:56 PMIn what world do you become an nfl OC while missing basic understanding of how to run an nfl running game. I mean at the high school level sure, I see it all the time and wonder how they don’t know it, but I thought at least at the college and nfl level that sort of bs wouldn’t occur any more.

waxthat says:Oct 31, 2013 3:01 PMAs a Texas A&M alumni, I couldn’t agree more.

takeittothehizzy says:Oct 31, 2013 3:02 PMApart from Mike Sherman I think Miami has a good coaching staff. If I were Philbin I would put aside my loyalty for Sherman and start calling plays myself. Throw Sherman overboard before he sinks the ship.

sallust99 says:Oct 31, 2013 3:05 PMManziel was a red-shirt freshman. That is why he can go pro after this season.
Sherman sat him. Period.

Facts are he is a stubborn SOB.

vanmorrissey says:Oct 31, 2013 3:07 PMGood ‘ole boy network at work. Hire the ex-coach, ex-college coach, who, guess what, has FAILED before. Now it has worked in other places, but Sherman is just not that good.

bsizemore68 says:Oct 31, 2013 3:10 PMHe is stuck on stubborn, or as a friend said ” there is no cure for stupid ” Bill p.s. We can only pray that the next head coach has previous experience as a head coach, and we know there will be a lot of coaches looking for a job in Jan .

justalonewolf says:Oct 31, 2013 3:13 PMSherman sucks, but… he is coach Joe’s friend and most of the time,THAT is the biggest factor when hiring assistants, friends, buddies, and whatever else i.e. = Sherman !!!

jc327 says:Oct 31, 2013 3:25 PMI actually feel that the team has talent, but the coaches are using it all wrong. Particularly on the offense and especially the O-line. That’s on the coaches.

getyourownname says:Oct 31, 2013 3:32 PMSounds like he’s related to Cam Cameron, who usually abandoned the run by halftime.

farvite says:Oct 31, 2013 3:43 PMAs a Packer fan, this guy took time off my life, I have no doubt.

buddysguys says:Oct 31, 2013 2:45 PMwell lets hope they dont make fun of him and he runs away like a 8 year old or a 24 year old 2nd rd Draft Pick.
(Just tossed that one in there for the lulz.)

Who is this Brent Favre that is spoken of?

While on the topic of Nepotism, I've always assumed this is the only reason why Zac Taylor is the QB coach...

My personal opinion is that the only way we win this game is if Philbin takes over the play calling duties.

Last year it was the receivers, this year its the offensive line, and now the coaches.

No one wants to lay the blame on the QB?

If nothing is learned from history,it WILL repeat it's self.

I'm sure when we hired him there were just as many good comments that the homers brought in. I find it funny now how the tables have turned...

Not when the offensive line that is paid to "protect" him is bar none the worst in the league, and on pace to shatter near 50 year team record. Yes, I'd say it is a pretty valid excuse. You can argue that outside of experience, Tannehill is worse off this year than last.

Ireland had all this information, yet he hired Philbin and was cool with Sherman being the OC. There's no way that Philbin didn't let Ireland know who he was hiring as OC during the interviewing process.

I don't understand your response, the vast majority of the comments I posted were from Packer and Texas A&M fans, not our fanbase...
